Earlier today I posted the pretty clear water from Bowman Lake in Glacier National Park. Here the fresh water from Crater Lake is in that same category. Water here is from rain and snow that falls in the Crater.
Hence the fine blue colors from the high altitude sky falling down on the supreme clear water.
Despite the blustery conditions yesterday which were far from ideal for photographing butterflies I did manage to find this freshly emerged male Chalkhill Blue.
Broad-bodied Chaser (Libellula depressa) - male
This stunning fellow still has the yellow ages of immaturity, although he had recently mated. Lucky chap!
And then, there were three!!!
An additional juvenile robin that came and joined our garden bird squad from yesterday. There are three robins in our back garden now!:-)))
Four-spotted Chaser (Libellula quadrimaculata)- teneral female

After some time, with my eyes closed, I began to enjoy this wonderful play of colors and forms, which it really was a pleasure to observe.
Then I went to sleep and the next day I was fine.
I felt quite fresh, like a newborn.

(minutes after having had a shoot on this was an annoying sandstorm)
8879 must have just hit the wash rack in the last couple of weeks as it is shining fresh on this sunny afternoon. Leading train X342. Note the once Mexican flag in the middle of the number boards.
Last month I documented Freshers' Week at Glasgow University for their Corporate Communications office.
On the morning of the first day of Freshers' Week, the Principal addresses the new students in the Bute Hall where, four or fives years later, they will sit (as I did a few months ago) wearing the robes of graduands. This shot was taken as the students sat, full of excitement and fear, waiting for the principal to arrive.

While I was making myself breakfast, Natasha came along and got a drink out of her mug. Then she sat behind it and meowed at me, hoping I would put new food in her dish. Instead I got the camera and took her photo before returning to my eggs on the stove. I turned back to her and found she was apparently resigned to eating the food I had put out half an hour earlier. It's a tough life, kitty!
