Alexander, a Fresher at Clare College, approached me and asked whether I was Sir Cam. "I can't believe I met you," he said with some delight as he told me that he was a fan and "followed" me on Instagram and Twitter.

Oh, dear. Kids these days. Anyway, I made his portrait to capture his excitement on the day of his matriculation at the college and the beginning of his Cambridge journey. I hope I can make another portrait when he graduates in three years.
