How I wish I could go down to Brighton seafront today and see sights such as this. On 20th September, 1993 Freeway of Pinxton offered this MAN SR280. 3108 RU had been new to NAT Tours as HAM 852W.
Vegetation covers the lower portions of this many-level interchange in La Canada, CA.

Forks, Washington, USA.
If you drive too fast, you may miss this place.
We stayed overnight at Forks, the so-called "One horse town" ... or in keeping with the modern times ... "One stoplight town". There is not much to see here, a few motels, some restaurants, couple of thousand people, and Highway 101 running through, with the only stoplight on a 160 mile stretch.
And lots of rain. Did I tell you, it perhaps rains here 330 days a year? Give or take a few.
A few more tidbits about Forks: it used to be called the Logging capital of the world.
Normally we would drive through, but Forks' location was strategic. It was the closest town to the Hoh rainforest of Olympic National Park, where we are headed now.
By the way, did I forget to tell ya .... this is the town that will be made famous by the book series and movie "Twilight" by Stephenie Meyer. The main character of Twilight, Bella Swan, reluctantly moves to Forks to spend some time with his dad and go to the Forks High School. Here she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. :-)
I can imagine Bella's reluctance to move to Forks. As for myself, I need to get outta here, quick, before I meet up with the vampire!

This is a freeway bridge and ramps locates Taichung(central city of Taiwan) and will be quite great at night. I have been thinking of shooting it for a long time and made it finally at this visit.

Lichens and mosses are able to survive the nitrogen pollution above I-5, but the tree they've colonized didn't.
With air pollution being an issue in the city, consider letting mosses and lichens live on your property rather than adding to the problem by using a chemical to remove them. They might just be saving your life.

Quite a few Brown Pelicans! In the wild. They congregate around the docks at Robbie's Marina hoping for a handout and a late afternoon snack. There are easily 150+ pelicans in the area! Underneath them swim massive tarpon. They all get along fine.
Robbie's Marina in Islamorada in the Florida Keys is known
for its laid back atmosphere and for feeding the Tarpon at
the docks. Wild and exciting. A must see if you visit the Keys.
History and the back-story of tarpon-feeding at Robbie's Marina:
Robbie and his wife Mona started feeding 'Scarface' 45 years ago. Scarface appeared floundering in the shallow waters near the dock. Robbie saw the large struggling tarpon and thinking it swam in too shallow and had gotten stuck on the bank, went out into the water to free it. He lifted the fish and saw that the right side of its jaw was torn open. Hoping to revive the tarpon, Robbie placed it in the oxygen-rich shrimp tank and called old Doc Roach. The doctor showed up with his wife's mattress needles and some twine, and Scarface became the first known tarpon with stitches! LOL After several days of force-feeding, Scarface showed good recovery and weight gain. Six months later he was released into the waters off the dock. Afterwards, Scarface continued to frequent Robbie's docks, sometimes bringing a friend! Soon more and more of the fish began to appear! Today, the tradition continues, with visitors from all across the world coming to marvel at the spectacle and offer these truly magnificent large creatures a snack. - Thank you for looking.

Driving back from Bacchus Marsh after photographing a confirmation I decided I wanted to do a long exposure of a freeway. I got home, grabbed my camera and went to the closest overpass in Ballarat. As my cable release is broken I could only shoot 30 second exposures with the ISO cranked to 1250. Time to get an intervalometer and do some massive ones everywhere cause I actually loved it!
