Riding home I saw the rays of light bursting through the clouds, so I thought I'd head up the Yarra Boulevard and take a couple photos from the bridge over the freeway. This is a three shot HDR. It was pretty dull evening light, so not a lot of colour anyway.
Atlantic City Expressway eastbound in Winslow, just after exit 33. I like the idea of a sign telling you that an added lane is ahead, but shouldn't the sign be yellow or white instead of blue?

Holy crap it's July already ! Summer is going by =/ well today in the morning I went to do a little shopping with my mom and sister. After that I met up with JR and Marc to shoot around some hoops. We met up with Brandon, Janel and Jocelyn to go to Tpumps. That line was too long -__- going out of the door. Having nothing to do, we went to SBA to shoot around again for my second time and the day ended there.

I found the clearance sign amusing. I'm sure it was for the driver but I kept imagining an 11'7" rider trying to board.

MN 5 is a freeway serving the Lindbergh Terminal at MSP. Those directional signs will soon be changed to Terminal 1 (Lindbergh), with more information on which airlines serve which terminals. I am really not sure how Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are going to be any easier to remember than Lindbergh and Humphrey.
This house always catches my eye. The poor thing is all alone, stuck in a major intersection, with the freeway at it's back.
The sound must be horrific, all day and all night surrounded on all sides by roads, freeway, and traffic lights.
Most people go to Reunion Tower to see the buildings or the clouds or try to see their house. I go to see the freeways.

I was driving down Grand River today when I saw a small plume of smoke coming from the other side of the Jefferies Freeway. By the time I got there the small plume of smoke had grown into a big black cloud.
Originally a diamond interchange when IA 5 was a two-lane road, construction to upgrade the I-35/IA 5 interchange to a semi-directional "T" in order to accommodate the new freeway began in 2000. In late August 2001, half of the new I-35/IA 5 interchange opened to traffic. This includes the ramp between northbound I-35 and southbound IA 5.
In late 2013, the ground-mounted sign that listed West Des Moines and Norwalk as destinations was replaced by a truss-mounted Clearview sign in this photo listing the Des Moines Airport (which is the first sign I've seen that includes an airport code). The southbound sign is still up, for now.
