Do we want to trust evolutionists claims about scientific evidence, when they have such an appalling record?
Piltdown Man and Nebraska Man were even used in the famous, Scopes Trial as positive evidence for evolution.
Piltdown Man reigned for over 40 years, as a supreme example of human evolution, before it was exposed as a crudely, fashioned fake.

The ludicrous Hopeful Monster Theory and so-called Punctuated Equilibrium (evolution in big jumps) were invented by evolutionists as a desperate attempt to explain away the lack of fossil evidence for evolution. They are proposed methods of evolution which, it is claimed, need no fossil evidence. They are actually an admission that the required fossil evidence does not exist.
Piltdown Man... it survived as alleged proof of evolution for over 40 years in evolution textbooks and was taught in schools and universities, it survived peer reviews etc. and was used as supposed irrefutable evidence for evolution at the famous Scopes Trial..
Nebraska Man, this was a single tooth of a peccary. it was trumpeted as evidence for the evolution of humans, and artists impressions of an ape-like man appeared in newspapers magazines etc. It was also used as 'scientific' evidence for evolution in the Scopes Trial. Such 'scientific' evidence is enough to make any genuine, respectable scientist weep.
South West Colorado Man, another tooth .... of a horse this time... It was also presented as evidence for human evolution.
Orce man, a fragment of skullcap, which was most likely from a donkey, but even if it was human. such a tiny fragment is certainly not any proof of human evolution as it was made out to be.
Embryonic Recapitulation, the evolutionist zealot Ernst Haeckel (who was a hero of Hitler) published fraudulent drawings of embryos and his theory was readily accepted by evolutionists as proof of evolution. Even after he was exposed as a fraudster, evolutionists still continued to use his fraudulent evidence in books and publications on evolution, including school textbooks, until very recently.
Archaeoraptor, A so-called feathered dinosaur from the Chinese fossil faking industry. It managed to fool credulous evolutionists, because it was exactly what they were looking for. The evidence fitted the wishful thinking.
Java Man, Dubois, the man who discovered Java Man and declared it a human ancestor ..... admitted much later that it was actually a giant gibbon, however, that spoilt the evolution story which had been built up around it, so evolutionists were reluctant to get rid of it, and still maintained it was a human ancestor. Dubois had also 'forgotten' to mention that he found the bones of modern humans at the same site.
Peking Man, made up from monkey skulls which were found in an ancient limestone burning industrial site where there were crushed monkey skulls and modern human bones. Drawings were made of Peking Man, but the original skull conveniently disappeared. So that allowed evolutionists to continue to use it as evidence without fear of it ever being debunked.
The Horse Series, unrelated species cobbled together, They were from different continents and were in no way a proper series of intermediates, They had different numbers of ribs etc. and the very first in the line, is similar to a creature alive today - the Hyrax.
Peppered Moth, moths were glued to trees to fake photographs for the peppered moth evidence. They don't normally rest on trees in daytime. In any case, the selection of a trait which is part of the variability of the existing gene pool, is not progressive evolution. It is just normal, natural selection within limits, which no-one disputes.
The Orgueil meteorite, organic material and even plant seeds were embedded and glued into the Orgueil meteorite and disguised with coal dust to make them look like part of the original meteorite, in a fraudulent attempt to fool the world into believing in the discredited idea of spontaneous generation of life, which is essential for progressive evolution to get started. The reasoning being that, if it could be shown that there was life in space, spontaneous generation must have happened there and could therefore be declared by evolutionists as being a scientific fact.
Is macro evolution even science? The answer to that has to be an emphatic - NO!
The usual definition of science is: that which can be demonstrated and observed and repeated. Evolution cannot be proved, or tested; it is claimed to have happened in the past, and, as such, it is not subject to the scientific method. It is merely a belief.
Of course, there is nothing wrong with having beliefs, especially if there is a wealth of evidence to support them, but they should not be presented as scientific fact. As we have shown, in the case of progressive evolution, there is a wealth of evidence against it. Nevertheless, we are told by evolutionist zealots that microbes to man evolution is a fact and likewise the spontaneous generation of life from sterile matter. They are deliberately misleading the public on both counts. Evolution is not only not a fact, it is not even proper science.
There is no credible mechanism for progressive evolution.
Darwin believed that there was unlimited variability in the gene pool of all creatures and plants.
However, the changes possible through selective breeding were known by breeders to be strictly limited.
This was due to the fact that the changes seen in selective breeding were due to the shuffling, deletion and emphasis of genetic information already existing in the gene pool (micro-evolution). There was no viable mechanism for creating new, beneficial, genetic information required to create entirely new structures and features (macro-evolution).
Darwin ignored the limits which were well known to breeders (even though he selectively bred pigeons himself, and should have known better). He simply extrapolated the limited, minor changes observed in selective breeding to major, unlimited, progressive changes able to create new structures, organs etc. through natural selection, over millions of years.
Of course, the length of time involved made no difference, the existing, genetic information could not increase of its own accord, no matter how long the timescale.
That was a gigantic flaw in Darwinism, and opponents of Darwin's ideas tried to argue that changes were limited, as selective breeding had demonstrated. But because Darwinism had acquired an ideological status, belief in it outweighed the verdict of observational and experimental science, and classical Darwinism became scientific orthodoxy for nearly a century.
Opponents continued to argue all this time, that Darwinism was unscientific nonsense, but they were ostracised and ridiculed as cranks, weirdoes or religious fanatics.
Finally however, it was discovered that the opponents of Darwin were perfectly correct - and that constructive, genetic changes require new, additional, genetic information.
This looked like the ignominious end of Darwinism, as there was no credible, natural mechanism able to create new, constructive, genetic information. And Darwinism should have been heading for the dustbin of history,
However, rather than ditch the whole idea, the vested interests in Darwinism had become so great, with numerous, lifelong careers and an ideological agenda involved in the Darwinian belief system, a desperate attempt was made to rescue it from its justified demise.
A mechanism had to be invented to explain the origin of new, constructive information.
That invented mechanism was 'mutations'. Mutations are ... genetic, copying MISTAKES.
The public had already been convinced that classical Darwinism was a scientific fact, and that anyone who questioned it was a crank, so all that had to be done was to give the impression that the theory had simply been refined and updated in the light of modern science.
The fact that classical Darwinism had been wrong all along, and was fatally flawed from the outset was kept quiet.
The new developments were simply portrayed as the evolution and development of the theory. The impression was given that there was nothing wrong with the idea of progressive (macro) evolution, it had simply evolved in the light of greater knowledge.
The new, improved Darwinism became known as Neo-Darwinism.
So what is Neo-Darwinism?
It is progressive, macro evolution based on the ludicrous idea that random mutations (accidental, genetic, copying mistakes) selected by natural selection, can provide constructive, genetic information capable of creating entirely new features, structures, organs, and biological systems. Neo-Darwinian macro evolution is based on a belief in a complete progression from microbes to man through millions of random, genetic, copying MISTAKES. There is no evidence for it whatsoever, it is just unscientific nonsense which defies logic. The irony is that it is presented to the public as 'science'.
People are sometimes confused, because they know that 'micro'-evolution is an observable fact, which everyone accepts. However, evolutionists often cynically exploit that confusion by citing obvious examples of micro-evolution such as: the Peppered Moth, Darwin's finches, so-called superbugs etc., as evidence of macro-evolution.
Of course such examples are not evidence of macro-evolution or progressive evolution at all. The public is simply being hoodwinked, and it is a disgrace to science. There are no observable examples or evidence of macro-evolution and no examples of a mutation, or a series of mutations capable of creating new structures, organs etc. and that is a fact. It is no wonder that W R Thompson stated in the preface of the 1959 centenary edition of Darwin's Origin of the Species, that ... the success of Darwinism was accompanied by a decline in scientific integrity.
Micro-evolution is simply the small changes which take place, through natural selection or selective breeding, but only within the strict limits of the built-in variability of the existing gene pool. Any changes outside the extent of the existing gene pool requires a credible mechanism for the creation of new, constructive, genetic information, that is what is essential for macro evolution. Micro evolution does not involve or require the creation of any new, genetic information. So micro evolution and macro evolution are entirely different. There is no connection between them at all.

Once people fully understand that the differences they see in various dogs breeds, for example, are merely an example of limited micro-evolution (selection of existing genetic information) and nothing to do with progressive macro-evolution, they begin to realise that they have been fed an incredible story.
Neo-Darwinian, macro evolution is the ridiculous idea that everything in the genome of humans and every living thing past and present (apart from the original genetic information in the very first living cell) is the result of millions of genetic copying mistakes..... mutations ... of mutations .... of mutations.... of mutations .... and so on - and on - and on.
In other words, Neo-Darwinism proposes that the complete genome (every scrap of genetic information in the DNA) of every living thing that has ever lived was created by a series ... of mistakes ... upon mistakes .... upon mistakes .... upon mistakes etc. etc.
If we look at the whole picture we soon realise that what is actually being proposed by evolutionists is that, apart from the original information in the first living cell - every additional scrap of genetic information for all - features, structures, biological systems and processes that exist, or have ever existed in living things, such as:
skin, bones, bone joints, shells, flowers, leaves, wings, scales, muscles, fur, hair, teeth, claws, toe and finger nails, horns, beaks, nervous systems, blood, blood vessels, brains, lungs, hearts, digestive systems, vascular systems, liver, kidneys, pancreas, bowels, immune systems, senses, eyes, ears, sex organs, sexual reproduction, sperm, eggs, pollen, the process of metamorphosis, marsupial pouches, marsupial embryo migration, mammary glands, hormone production, melanin etc. .... have been created from scratch, by an incredibly long series of small, accumulated mistakes ... mistake - upon mistake - upon mistake - upon mistake - over and over again, millions of times. That is ... every part, system and process of all living things are the result of literally billions of genetic MISTAKES of MISTAKES, accumulated over many millions of years.
So what we are asked to believe is that something like a vascular system, or reproductive organs, developed in small, random, incremental steps, with every step being the result of a copying mistake, and with each step being able to provide a significant survival or reproductive advantage in order to be preserved and become dominant in the gene pool. Incredible!
If you believe that ... you will believe anything.
Even worse, evolutionists have yet to cite a single example of a positive, beneficial, mutation which adds constructive information to the genome of any creature. Yet they expect us to believe that we have been converted from an original, single living cell into humans by an accumulation of billions of beneficial mutations (mistakes).
Conclusion:
Progressive, microbes-to-man evolution is impossible - there is no credible mechanism to produce all the new, genetic information which is essential for that to take place.
The evolution story is an obvious fairy tale presented as scientific fact.
However, nothing has changed - those who dare to question Neo-Darwinism are still portrayed as idiots, retards, cranks, weirdoes, anti-scientific ignoramuses or religious fanatics.

What about the fossil record?
All creatures and plants alive today, which are found as fossils, are the same in their fossil form as the living examples, in spite of the fact that the fossils are claimed to be millions of years old. So all living things today could be called 'living fossils' inasmuch as there is no evidence of any evolutionary changes in the alleged multi-million year timescale. The fossil record shows either extinct species or unchanged species, that is all.
The Cambrian Explosion.
Trilobites and other many creatures appeared suddenly in some of the earliest rocks of the fossil record, with no intermediate ancestors. This sudden appearance of a great variety of advanced, fully developed creatures is called the Cambrian Explosion. Trilobites are especially interesting because they have complex eyes, which would need a lot of progressive evolution to develop such advanced features However, there is no evidence of any evolution leading up to the Cambrian Explosion, and that is a serious dilemma for evolutionists.
Trilobites are now thought to be extinct, although it is possible that similar creatures could still exist in unexplored parts of deep oceans.
The formation of fossils.
What many people don't seem to realise is that all good, intact fossils require rapid burial in sufficient sediment to prevent decay or predatory destruction.
So it is evident that rock containing good, undamaged fossils was laid down rapidly, quite likely in catastrophic conditions.
Another important factor is that many large fossils (tree trunks, large fish, dinosaurs etc.) intersect several or many strata (sometimes called layers) which indicates that multiple strata were formed simultaneously in a single event by grading/segregation of sedimentary particles into distinct layers, and not stratum by stratum over long periods of time or different geological eras, which is the evolutionist's, uniformitarian interpretation of the geological column.

One of the few openly transgender elected officials in the U.S. faces a lawsuit from opponents who allege she deceived the public by identifying as female.
Two losing candidates in the Nov.6 city council election in Riverdale, Ga., filed a lawsuit last week in Clayton County Superior Court against incumbent City Councilmember Michelle Bruce, accusing her of fraud for identifying as female.The lawsuit also alleges election fraud and seeks to stop a Dec.4 runoff election between Bruce and the second-place finisher for her post.
Georgia Fuller, who placed third in a field of four candidates for the Ward 2 seat Bruce holds, and Stanley Harris, who lost in the Ward 4 election, filed the lawsuit Nov.13. Bruce has represented Ward 2 since 2004.
“They’re trying to make [my gender] an issue, ” Bruce said Tuesday. “Saying stuff about me being a guy. That’s the only thing they can make an issue of — gender and race because they can’t make an issue of my work for the past four years for my constituents.'
An attorney for Fuller and Harris could not immediately be reached for comment.
Their lawsuit also names as respondents City Manager Iris Jessie, City Clerk Stephanie Thomas, Ward 4 incumbent Council member Kenny Ruffin and Ward 2 candidate Wayne Hall.
Bruce faces a Dec.4 runoff election against Hall. Bruce received 312 votes, or 41 percent, in the Nov.6 election, compared to Hall's 202 votes, or 27 percent. In Georgia, candidates must receive '50 percent plus one vote' to win without a runoff.
Bruce denies deceit
In the lawsuit, Fuller and Harris refer to Bruce as “Michael Bruce” and claim she misled voters. Bruce, who identifies openly as transgender, won her first race as a woman and was unopposed.
“Prior to the Nov.6,2007 general elections in Riverdale, Michael Bruce fraudulently misrepresented on his ‘Notice of Candidacy’ that his legal name was ‘Michelle Bruce’ and unlawfully misled voters to believe he was female, ” the suit states.
The lawsuit further alleges “On or about Nov.6,2007 and prior to casting his vote in the Riverdale general election, Michael Bruce fraudulently misrepresented to the poll workers that his legal name was ‘Michelle Bruce’ and that he was a female.”
Bruce said she is identified as female on her driver’s license, voter registration and Social Security card. She declined comment on what sex is on her birth certificate.
“That’s a personal issue, ” she said. “I’m the same Michelle I was four years ago. They’re just trying to distract from the issues.” Bruce also declined to say if she has legally changed her name from another name.
Deana Johnson, city attorney for Riverdale, said an answer to the lawsuit was filed Nov.20 and denies all allegations in the suit including fraud by Bruce. She said the city is awaiting a hearing date.
“She is Michelle Bruce and has been for the past four years, ” Johnson said. “She is identified as female on her drivers license. This is a frivolous suit. I really don’t understand what the allegation is.”
Matt Carrothers, spokesperson for the Secretary of State's Office, said there is no place to identify gender on the form people file to run for political office in state, county or municipal elections.
“Nowhere on the form does it ask for the sex of a person, ” he said.
He confirmed Michelle “Mickey” Bruce is listed as a female on the state’s voter registration records.
“The state of Georgia voter’s registration does ask for gender, although people are not required to answer that question, ” he said.
The Secretary of State’s Office does not verify gender given, he added.
'Prime target'
Kyle Bailey, political director for Georgia Equality, said the organization is working to make sure Bruce has her chance to win in the Dec.4 election. He dismissed the merits of the suit.
“They name her as ‘Michael’ in the suit — that is not her name, ” Bailey said.
“However, Michelle is a prime target and it is important our community understand that they have attacked the LGBT community and tried to make it more valid by attaching it to another issue, ” he said.
In the suit, Fuller and Harris also accuse City Clerk Thomas of tampering with voting machines.
Thomas declined comment on the lawsuit, but did say the city has no documents on file saying whether Bruce is female or male because the state does not require that information.
Denis Dison, spokesperson for the national Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund, which works to elect openly gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender candidates, said the organization plans to go “all out” to preserve Bruce’s place as the top vote getter and to make sure she stays on the Dec.4 ballot.
“We want to do the will of the voters, ” Dison said. “Some people may be against LGBT people, but what they are trying to do is overturn the will of the voters. They are refusing to abide by the democratic process.”
Dison added that this kind of lawsuit — suing a transgender person alleging fraud based on their sex — is something he has never heard of in politics. However, there are only a “handful” of openly transgender elected officials in the nation, he added.
“This sounds like a classic tactic to reverse an election by people because it didn’t go their way, ” Dison said. “Lawyers we’ve spoken to say the suit has zero merit. Ironically, they accuse Michelle of trying to pull the wool over the eyes of the voters — but she served as openly transgender for four years.”
Lawsuit 'mean-spirited'?
Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equality, said the entire lawsuit seems “desperate, bitter and frivolous.”
“It’s mean-spirited. It reminds me when I was in high school on the debate team and people would pile on a bunch of junk hoping it would stick, ” she added. “It’s dumb. She’s been there four years and never hidden who she is.”
In September 2004, after serving several months on the City Council, Bruce told Southern Voice she was born intersexed and identified as transgender, and said she has lived her entire life as a woman.
“All my life I’ve had to listen to, ‘You’re gay, you’re a fag, you’re a man in a damned dress’ or some other snide remark, ” she said at that time.
“Now, I’m trying to make a difference the best positive way I can. I’m trying to do what’s right for everyone, doesn’t matter if they’re transgender, gay, lesbian, straight, black, white or whatever.”
In April 2005, Bruce attempted to get legislation passed to add sexual orientation and gender identity and expression to the non-discrimination policy in the Riverdale city personnel handbook. The measure was defeated by a 3-2 vote.
Bruce, who lives with her mother, said Tuesday that the lawsuit is painful, as is an anti-transgender website administered by anonymous opponents to mock her.
“This is a smear campaign. Transgender means a lot of things, it can mean a lot of things, ” she said. “I’m going to focus on the issues, like getting jobs for people, taking care of our elderly, helping our young people, giving the tools needed to fire and police to protect us.'
Bruce also said her case is an example of why gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people need to be open in their smaller communities and seek office.
“They don’t like anyone who is LGBT, not only here in Riverdale, ” she said. “With more LGBT people in office, instead of me being the issue, the community is the issue.”

I was checking my coworker's calendars and I came across this gem on one of them. I am assuming it means something else entirely to them.

There is no credible mechanism for progressive evolution.
Progressive, macro evolution is based on the ludicrous idea that random mutations (accidental, genetic, copying mistakes) selected by natural selection, can provide constructive, genetic information capable of creating entirely new features, structures, organs, and biological systems. Macro evolution is based on a belief in a complete progression from microbes to man through millions of random, genetic copying MISTAKES. There is no evidence for it whatsoever, it is unscientific nonsense which defies logic.
Micro-evolution is simply the small changes which take place, through natural selection or selective breeding, but only within the strict limits of the built-in variability of the existing gene pool. Any changes outside the extent of the existing gene pool requires a credible mechanism for the creation of new, constructive, genetic information, that is what is essential for macro evolution. Micro evolution does not involve or require the creation of any new, genetic information. So micro evolution and macro evolution are entirely different. There is no connection between them at all.
Macro evolution is the ridiculous idea that everything in the genome of humans and every living thing past and present (apart from the original genetic information in the very first living cell) is the result of genetic copying mistakes. mutations ... of mutations .... of mutations.... of mutations .... etc. etc.
In other words, Neo-Darwinism proposes that the complete genome (every scrap of genetic information in the DNA) of every living thing that has ever lived was created by a series ... of mistakes ... of mistakes .... of mistakes .... of mistakes etc. etc.
If we look at the whole picture we soon realise that what is actually being proposed by evolutionists is that, apart from the original information in the first living cell: every additional scrap of genetic information for all - features, structures, systems and processes that exist, or have ever existed in living things, such as:

While the good people of Los Angeles were heading over to the Wiltern Theatre for Lebowski Fest, I was dealing with my own White Russians. I'm not sure which is weirder.
I was heading to the gym and as I made a left turn onto Barham, a large 14ft moving truck decided to kindly push me to the side of the road. First, let's get two things straight: I was talking (hands free!) to James and I was in a go straight lane, not the turn left lane. But at the time, I thought it was one of two tun left here lanes. OK, my bad.
I dutifully did as my Insurance Company has oft reminded me, "Don't Admit Fault!!!!" The driver leaped out of the truck and ran over to me, pointing out that I wasn't in the turn lane. I just kind of stared at him. Then I got out and started taking pictures of my car. The damage was not toooooo bad. Mostly a deep gash in the rear passenger door and some "brush strokes" on the driver door. My doors have a black plastic panel that I am none too fond of. I noticed the rear door's panel was stuck to the truck's wheel. The lug nuts had pierced it and pulled it off the car. I tried to pry it off the wheel but it seemed pretty stuck.
We exchanged information - driver's license, insurance.... A couple of other guys are on their cells by the bus stop. I think they are waiting for a bus. All the while the Driver was talking to his boss on his cell, the owner of the moving company. At one point, the Driver puts me on the phone with the Boss. He asks me not the sue his moving company. I agree, since I am not litigious and I have no reason to sue the owner of a truck that removed my door panel because I was in the wrong spot. We agree to write that we won't sue each other. We quibble over exact verbiage. I refuse to say, "It was my fault." But agree to, "The Moving Company did not cause the accident."
At this point, in hindsight, I realize something weird. I have never been in an accident that was my fault. I have no idea what I'm really supposed to do and I don't really know the consequences of my actions. So, for some reason, calling the police seems like a bad idea, as if I am going to be put in jail for being in the wrong lane. Keeping everything simple seems like a good idea. I can get my car fixed, the truck has no damage, no one is injured.
We finish up our paperwork. I text my trainer that I am winding up and on my way. And then the Driver approaches. "So, what about the guys."
"What guys?" ( I thought they were waiting for a bus. Those two other Russian guys that were in the truck,)
"Well, they are pretty shaken up. You should probably give them a couple of bucks, don't you think?"
"Ummmm...I have $8. You can have that,"
"No...they are shaken up. You should give them something so they don't file a claim."
"What are you suggesting?"
"Oh, $200 I think."
"I don't have $200 on me. Who carries that kind of cash"
"We take checks."
And we began a very long argument about why I should pay them $200. It was convoluted, since the logic is just not there, and stilted since the two guys who would be "injured" don't speak English. For about half an hour, we went round and round. Why should I pay them? So they won't sue my insurance for $15,000. How would anyone believe they have an injury? They will "go out and become injured." And if I did pay them, why would they not sue my insurance anyway? Because.
So I decide to call my friend Diana. (Hi, Diana!) She is Russian. Maybe she can talk to these guys and give me a good feel for what these guys are about. I don't want to find myself at the receiving end of a personal injury lawsuit. She talks to them. I can hear her voice even when she is talking to Driver, so I know she is getting agitated. The phone comes back to me. Diana is angry. She tells me that they are in fact threatening to file false injury claims if I don't pay them $200. She says she is not sure what to do but maybe calling the police is a good idea.
And now I know that I need the professionals to step in and "for the record" define the situation. Sure, I could drive away, but there would be no official record that the Three Comrades aren't injured and that the truck isn't damaged in any way. LAPD do not respond to traffic accidents in which there is no injury or no significant traffic blockage. They let the insurance companies sort it out. And that was the second reason I didn't think to call the police from the beginning.
I call James back for the first time. He gives me the "Duh! Call the cops!" signal, which was "Duh! Call the cops!" I call 911 and speak with an emergency operator. She is very nice and somewhat astonished that I am being asked to pay off these guys. She will send over a patrol car and she says, "If you have any trouble, call us right back at 911!" It feels as if she would answer if I did call back. "Hi! I'm that girl with Russian guys and the $200???"
Then I go to the Russians and tell them that my boyfriend is coming by with the money. I tell them to wait since it'll be 10 minutes or so. They wait and smoke. I stand near the corner looking anxious because I am. What will they do when the police arrive? This is when I Facebook. I'm a little scared and I have to admit - this is an effed up situation.
And then the police arrive. (It took about 12 minutes.) It's LAPD. Ironically, my last gym appointment was late because LAPD had closed the very intersection I was standing is because of a chase/shootout on Barham. I heard the police shot the "perp" since he was a murder suspect, but he lived.
As the car drives up, the Driver says to me, "What are we going to tell them??" He repeats this since I don't answer. He's nervous - he doesn't want the police to get involved. I run to the officer curbside. The police separate us, as they usually do. I explain that there was an accident, I was at fault, and that the guys are trying to make me pay them $200 else they will fake injuries. The officer, who is so kind, explains that it's not really extortion if they didn't force me to stay until I gave them money. They are just running a scam that happens a lot. "We see this all the time," he says.
Another police car shows up. This is getting big.
He inspects the car, takes some information and tells me everything will be fine. Just call the insurance company as soon as possible because they WILL be calling. And they WILL try to get money. But they have no leg to stand on. He gets all the information. He tells me that they're all set, I can go. The second responders check out the situation and are mostly interested in the Russians.
While I'm sitting in my car, Driver comes up to the passenger window. I roll it down. "So, is your boyfriend still coming with the money?"
"Uh, no. I'm not paying you anything. We're done here."
In my head, I'm saying, "Seriously? Seriously?"
James shows up and the officer repeats his info. Good thing, since I may not remember it all.
Lessons Learned:
There is a difference between extortion and coercion.
The far right lane on Forest Lawn is not a turn lane.
LAPD are very nice.
I have a certain deer-in-headlights look when I'm confused.
Always call the insurance company, especially if the other party says no.

FBI Uses Triage to Shift From Terror to Madoff, Subprime Probes

Dec. 22 (Bloomberg) -- The FBI has engaged in “triage,” taking agents off terror and other crimes to respond to a cascade of financial frauds such as the alleged Bernard Madoff Ponzi scheme, the head of the bureau’s New York criminal division said.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation was forced to reallocate its manpower in New York to deal with recent frauds involving subprime mortgages, auction-rate securities and Madoff, who prosecutors said confessed this month to bilking investors out of $50 billion, FBI official David Cardona said in an interview.
“We have to work those cases which we think pose the greatest threat,” he said. “In this case, it’s a threat to the financial system and Wall Street.”
Special Agent Rachel Rojas, who once worked on tracing terrorist financing and al-Qaeda, now oversees 15 agents investigating mortgage fraud, said Cardona, a career agent with 23 years at the bureau. He declined to say how many other agents he has reassigned from anti-terror work to financial crimes.
Rojas heads one of two such mortgage-fraud squads that work with federal prosecutors in Brooklyn and Manhattan and other federal agencies, Cardona said. The U.S. Justice Department has created more than 40 mortgage-fraud task forces around the country this year.
Some of the FBI’s anti-terror experience has come in handy in investigating financial crime, Cardona said. Agents who were looking at bank-provided “suspicious activity reports” or SARS to track financing of terrorism are now doing so to spot mortgage or other financial fraud, he said.
Cardona’s office still handles multimillion dollar crimes, while referring smaller cases to state prosecutors or New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo, Cardona said.
Big Case Skipped
Some big cases are left to others. The FBI didn’t get involved in the investigation of Marc Dreier, a New York lawyer charged Dec. 8 with defrauding hedge funds out of more than $100 million. The Dreier case is being handled by investigators in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Manhattan.
“We don’t chase every case,” he said. “We don’t have the resources.”
To save agents time, the New York office has established Web sites and telephone hotlines for anonymous e-mail complaints and tips about mortgage fraud and the Madoff case, Cardona said.
Since he arrived from Miami in May, 2007, Cardona, 52, has overseen 400 agents who handle criminal cases. The New York office covers New York City, Long Island, Westchester and the five counties north of New York City. In addition to the main office, located just north of Wall Street, Cardona oversees five smaller satellite bureaus in Queens, White Plains, Long Island, John F. Kennedy International Airport and Goshen, New York.
Working With Others
Under Cardona, the FBI’s New York office has also forged new relationships with regulators and other federal agencies as a means of stretching manpower, he said. His agents are working with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Housing Administration on mortgage fraud, he said.
“There is tons of stuff out there,” he said. “But we don’t have the resources to chase every collapsed hedge fund or collapsed financial institution.”
According to FBI statistics, the bureau’s budget in fiscal year 2008 was about $6.8 billion. There is no allocation for greater funding in the 2009 budget, he said.
“Realistically, in the era of limited resources, the FBI in New York will strive to use the necessary resources to address the criminal activities we feel are the most important,” he said.
Higher Standard
Criminal conduct involves a higher standard of proof to secure a conviction than the civil allegations the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission files, so it’s harder for the FBI to make cases, Cardona said. He cites the bank failure at Washington Mutual -- the largest in U.S. history -- as an example of obstacles the FBI faces in proving criminal wrongdoing.
“You can scratch your head and say, ‘Was there criminality that happened there?’” he said. “How can that collapse? Was that mismanagement? My standard is higher than that. I have to show criminal intent.”
The fall in the stock market this year didn’t create the recent surge in financial crimes, Cardona said.
“Mortgage fraud was perpetrated in good times, but no one saw it,” Cardona said. “In bad times, as we are in now, you see the manifestation of the crime problem. It was there, but like the tide going out, you just didn’t see until the margin calls started coming in.”
Madoff, Bear Stearns
The workload of Cardona’s agents this week ran the gamut from an indictment in gangland slayings to working with the SEC to Bernard Madoff’s alleged $50 billion Ponzi scheme. Cardona declined to discuss any details about Madoff, who is under house arrest as the FBI investigates his confession.
Under Cardona, the office had some recent high-profile white-collar prosecutions this year: in June the FBI teamed up with the SEC and prosecutors in the office of Brooklyn U.S. Attorney Benton Campbell to bring indictments against two former Bear Stearns Cos. hedge fund managers in the first prosecution stemming from a U.S. government probe of last year’s mortgage market collapse.
In September, the same group brought indictments in a second case, against two former Credit Suisse traders accused of fraudulently selling corporate clients more than $1 billion of auction-rate securities linked to subprime mortgages. The defendants in both cases have pleaded not guilty and are scheduled to be tried next year.
While counter-terrorism remains a top priority for the office since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, Cardona said he’s also cognizant of the threat white-collar fraud poses to the U.S. economy.
“In New York, No. 1, that is terror but also my area of responsibility is any crime that undermines the confidence in our financial-services industry.” He said. “To me that’s another top threat.”

Tampa, Florida based Rapid Systems, Inc. announced April 19 it filed a $25 Million suit against the Florida Rural Broadband Alliance (FRBA) along with several co-defendants.
Rapid Systems is a wireless broadband Internet service provider that entered an agreement with FRBA and others to provide broadband network support for a project developed with Broadband Opportunities Grants awarded in Florida as part of a government economic stimulus program. The grant totaled $23 Million. Rapid Systems allege in the complaint that after providing the agreed services, equipment and in-kind contributions totaling $2 Million, the FRBA and several co-defendants failed to pay Rapid Systems for any of the services or expenses rendered under the agreement. Rapid Systems is seeking to recover not only its own investment but also fees, costs and lost revenue as a result of FRBA's actions.
The grant money FRBA received is intended to develop the infrastructure needed for wireless Internet service in rural Florida counties. The program is intended to bridge the gap between large public service providers and small and often poor rural communities without the economic impact to attract private investment for wireless broadband connectivity networks.
A similar program was already funded as the North Florida Broadband Authority and has seen similar litigation and various towns and counties pulling out of the program. After three years and over $28 Million federal dollars invested in the NFBA, there are a confirmed 60 customers using the services. Both the NFBA and RFBA are currently under federal investigation. Questions of mismanagement, fraud, misinformation and misappropriating funds have dogged the grant recipients almost since their inception early in the Obama administration’s economic recovery efforts.
Rapid Systems has also included some public official in its complaint alleging a coordinated effort with the FRBA to defame the plaintiff in an effort to justify not paying the outstanding balances. The lawsuit filed in Hardee County Circuit Court details a complicated “fraud scheme” perpetrated by FRBA’s management to keep from paying out various invoices and accounts. Rapid Systems has told the court all contracted work was performed to agreed standards and payment is now due.
There was no immediate word from the court or federal authorities if the Rapid Systems suit will, in any way, affect the ongoing investigation into the FRBA or NFBA. Also, federal authorities have offered no confirmed time frame for completing their investigation. Whether the federal investigation could impact Rapid Systems and their alleged claims remains unclear.

December 5, 2009 was the 23nd consecutive month of peaceful global protests against the scientology cult. Several cities around the world chose Dec 5th as it is the 14th anniversary of Lisa McPherson's www.lisamcpherson.org/ death in scientology care at The Fort Harrison hotel in Clearwater.
Clearwater went with an Operation Frogger theme to ridicule the cult's top Clearwater OSA doofus Peter "Peetie" Mansell, who eyewitnesses said almost ran over an Anonymous protester walking down the sidewalk last month. The witnesses said had another Anon not yelled out a warning and the Anon jumped back, she would have been hit by Mansell. A police report was filed, witness statements were taken and a picture of the offending cult-owned fleet Honda's license place was turned over as evidence. These cult fleet vehicles are easy to spot with their Florda license plates all begin with the letter X.
Since last month's protest Senator Xenophon of Australia addressed The Australian Parliment calling scientology a "criminal organization" and requesting a parlimentary investigation.

First idea was to draw this burglar paying at a shop's counter with a credit card, but then I thought since itz a "fraud" thingy, I wanted it to look dark and very "theivey" so decided to do something with the police man's torch (spot light) catching a burglar in the dark alley.
Thinking along the line of a vector kind of artwork at first. End up, I added alot of textures and it turns out to be more of a mixed media finished.
