Pair of French paintings from the early 19th century. Oil paintings on panel depicting countryside winter landscapes with characters. Oval paintings of good painter hand, signed and dated down (see photo) "Ligu 1819". Work of pleasant furnishings for antiques dealers and collectors. They show some signs of time and small drops of color, overall in a fair conservative state.

Chainstay bridge. The joint is not properly brazed/attached (note thin separating crack on the outer edge of the solder). Eventually the whole bridge fell off. Other issues (with bad alignment) meant the whole frame had to be scrapped :(
