Het Social Media Strategy Framework van de AHT-Group ziet het implementeren van Social Media zowel als een strategische als een operationele aangelegenheid. Zij vinden dan ook dat dit gelijktijdig bewerkstelligd moet worden om een duidelijke Social Media component aanwezig te laten zijn.
Het framework bevat drie onderdelen:
Strategie-ontwikkeling (prioriteer doelstellingen, zorg voor bestuur en toezicht, definieer activiteiten)
Creëer verbinding (luister, raak betrokken, meet en verbeter)
Leer & ontwikkel capaciteiten
