The frames for the columns were built from cheap 1x1 boards. Some of our boards had bad edges, but we ended up using them out on the outside to simulate damage to the "stone." We used a hot cutter to create rectangles from 1/2" foam board.
Playing around with the plastic frames (and another old frame) to get ideas. First idea was a frame wall. These ended up becoming a headboard.
Dusty frames in the window of the now closed Keystone Picture Frame Co., on Liberty Avenue in downtown Pittsburgh.
A-frame, 7'4" high, 8' long, just under 4' wide. Welded structural steel, tested (see above) to 1,100#.
Morning Living producer Maureen McMurray and I studied our options before deciding to make decoupage picture frames. We started off with rectangles of unfinished wood.
