The Bible tells of four rivers emerging from the Garden of Eden. We find four rivers emerging from Lake Van in Turkey. However, the area is ecologically fragile and the Lake is saline and does not support cultivation, hence this location of Eden becomes questionable. Saint Agnes church and the obelisk of the Four Rivers Fountain - Piazza Navona - Rome

Obelisk and the Fountain of the four Rivers in Piazza Navona, Designed by Bernini in 1651, The dove at the top is the Emblem of the Pamphili family (Pope Innocent X)

This is one of my favorite pictures, and in my opinion shows a lot about Avegost. The person who has his back turned has a very odd fighting style that is typically for american larps. The man facing the camera has a very spot on approach towards fighting. It's a very good moment, because we can't see who wins and gets the next strike, but I believe this is a very good picture.

Bernini Fountain of Four Rivers, Piazza Navona, Rome

The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi or "Fountain of the Four Rivers" is located in the urban square of the Piazza Navona. It was designed in 1651 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini for Pope Innocent X whose family palace, the Palazzo Pamphili, faced onto the piazza as did the church of Sant'Agnese in Agone of which Innocent was the sponsor.

The base of the fountain is a basin from the centre of which travertine rocks rise to support four river gods and above them, an ancient Egyptian obelisk surmounted with the Pamphili family emblem of a dove with an olive twig. Collectively, they represent four major rivers of the four continents through which papal authority had spread: the Nile representing Africa, the Danube representing Europe, the Ganges representing Asia, and the Plate representing the Americas.

Piazza Navona

Joiner collage made from four photos taken with a Vivitar IC 101 "panoramic" camera. This is an ultra basic 35mm camera which has been masked to produce panoramic format images using the central strip of a standard negative. There are many variants of this camera, and they are widely available in charity shops, I paid 50p for this one. The film is Fuji ISO400 colour negative, developed at home using the Tetenal C41 kit, converted to black and white in post-processing.
