“Camel filters hard pack,” 03/03/10

Found underneath the first floor stairway (ceiling of the basement stairway.)

Two sides of an advertisement for The Craft Shop, offering home remodelling jobs. I note from the text that they advise the reader to call, however do not list a phone number. I make the rough guess that this helps date the ad back to before people had numbers - once upon a time one would simply pick the phone up to connect with an operator and ask to be connected to whomever.

oh well; he;ll be home for the FOLSOM STREET FAIR and to blow his FLICKR views out of this world::::,

This piece was made for the Mask Maker Mask Maker Make Me a Mask workshop taught by Michael de Meng at Valley Ridge Art Studio in Muscoda, WI, in August of 2010. It consists of a big baby doll, a littler baby doll, an old heater, rebar wire, a plastic skeleton, and an old pocket watch part. It was in the Memories: Recycling the Past to Repurpose the Future show at the ARTgarage in Green Bay, WI, in May of 2011. In 2012, I modified this piece by removing the devil baby from the mask. The piece was accepted into the All Things Big and Small Juried Exhibition at the Cedarburg (WI) Cultural Center in January of 2012. This piece was accepted into Impress and Astonish!: the 2012 Annual Member Show, Museum of Wisconsin Art, West Bend, WI, October 3 - December 30, 2012.

"Thirty Five", from the upcoming exhibition "Trigger & Reconfigure" in February 2011.

These are my raw materials for my assemblages. I store these found objects that I have accumulated over a long period of time... found in the garbage and alleyways of Montreal. When I do my assemblage I look through my treasure trove to find just the right pieces(s) to create my art. This is my closet, and is just one of the places I store my booty.
