I found mine in a gravel lot between a park and a church.

"Attendez !" cria Hypolite, ahanant de son mieux tandis qu'il courait pour attraper son train, la valise à la main, son chapeau dans l'autre.

Le convoi commençait déjà à pendre de la vitesse, et Hypolite dut esquiver le chef de gare qui comptait bien l'empêcher d'accéder à la plate-forme.

Son soulier gauche claqua sur le marchepied tandis qu'il jetait sa valise sur la plate-forme. "Ouch, mon appareil photo !" se dit-il un peu trop tard. Offert pour ses premières vacances seul, il n'était pas habitué à en transporter un. Mais au moins il était à bord. Maintenant c'est sûr, il arriverait en Bretagne dans quelques heures.

Le temps de voir les dernières maisons des faubourgs parisiens, et le voilà déjà endormi, son chapeau toujours à la main.

Main dans la main, Hypolite et Marceline arrivèrent tranquillement sur le quai où le train du retour les attend déjà. Tandis qu'Hypolite se félicitait d'être en avance, Marceline s'inquiétait silencieusement de ne pas l'être assez.

Tout à sa joie, Hypolite lâcha sa valise et souleva soudainement Marceline qui laissa échapper la sienne dans un cri. Mais avant qu'elle ne puisse reprendre ses esprits, elle se trouvait déjà dans le compartiment aux côtés d'un Hypolite hilare. Sifflet, mouvement, stupeur, les voilà qui assistent impuissants à l'abandon de leurs valises, restées sur le quai.

Marceline fait de grands signes par la fenêtre, mais en vain. Elle se retourne d'un air contrit vers Hypolite qui garde le sourire : "Moi en ton cas, je n'ai plus besoin de valise, maintenant que je t'ai trouvée."

C'est certain, Hypolite aura des choses à raconter à ses frères en rentrant !
