WASHINGTON, DC- 35,000 people from 28 states are converging in the streets to show President Obama the broad public support for climate solutions, while also challenging him to keep his commitment of making climate action a top priority during his second term. The president has several actions that he alone can take, including rejecting the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline and adopting a strong carbon rule to limit pollution from coal plants.

Members of the 62nd Forward Engineer Support Team – Advance (plus) arrived at the Ted Steven’s International Airport Jan. 27 where their families and coworkers there to greet them with a warm welcome home. The group travelled to Kuwait and Iraq to perform infrastructure assessments in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. The Alaska District is glad to have them back!

TORUN, Poland - Task Force Saber, under the command of 4th Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, U.S. Army, drive through Torun, Poland June 8, 2016 to conduct a maneuver called ‘forward passage of lines’ in which they pass through an area previously secured and advance toward a fictitious adversary during Anaconda 16. Exercise Anaconda 16 is a Polish-led, joint, multinational exercise taking place in Poland from June 7-17. The exercise involves more than 25, 000 participants from 24 nations. The 2CR participated in the event while conducting Dragoon Ride II, a 2200 km road march from Rose Barracks, Vilseck, Germany to Tapa, Estonia. The convoy will drive through Poland, Lithuania and Latvia to reach their destination where they will conduct multinational tactical training exercises and participate in cultural events.

Before sundown the colors on the water were unbelieveable. Glad I doubled back and got this Wigeon. I think we have to set our clocks ahead tonight one hour, spring forward.
We like the Fisher-Price/Britax hybrid seat pretty well. And the bub seems to enjoy facing forward, finally -- he sings little songs wherever we go.
My seat up the front somewhere, but not on the other side of the curtain of course.
The queue for the toilets takes a while as this aircraft only has 1 toilet at the rear.
