Complete precasting installation to manufacture transformer units (electrical substations) by Olmet Italy.
This schematic sketch is truly and completely 'freehand' in ink. Note there is not a straight line in evidence; this means no scale rule was used, as is the case in the vast majority of 'hand' drawn sketches (see other drawings for straight lines). Note No Border or Title Block drawn.
The paper used was simple lined margin paper from a pad.
I would guess that this was drawn in a hotel the night before the meeting to present it to the site team.
This is obviously a finer detail of the key assembly to be fitted to the raking pile, see other drawings for more detail

This product is pretty cool. One guy set up this home's foundation in a couple days using this modular expanded polystyrene formwork. The consolation to using non-biodegradable polystyrene as a formwork is that you leave the blocks in place, substantially increasing the R-value of the foundation. Not losing heat to the ground represents a huge energy savings in the northern climates.

Close up of the level three formwork and rebar. Oh, and the crane is setting some portolets. It’s important that they move up with the structure. Seriously.

(2) Latex is wrapped around and staples are used underneath to take up slack and work out wrinkles. Very similar to how canvas is stretched over a wooden frame and secured in the back. Pile of bent staples front left is testament to my stubbornness: plaster is hard to staple into with a very small somewhat stupid stapler.

Foundation construction is ongoing at the future 152 Street Station. Crews are preparing to install a bent formwork (rectangular blue structure pictured), which will be placed on top of the piers and serve as a mold.
The basic concept of Concrete Formwork is the creation of "walls" that will sand which concrete poured between them. The height, width, and overall design-complexity of these walls are flexible so as to meet the needs of any given job. It can be as simple as a 1 foot square, 5 cm high deck-post base or a labyrinth of foundation pathways, walls, staircases, and almost anything imaginable.
