These brown pelicans typically fly up and down the dunes on the Texas coast in a formatiion, usually abreast but in a diagonal, like these. Usually their formation is a bit neater, but not many were out there during this visit.
Chicago Airshow 2021. This edition of the series was abbreviated to just this one performance team due to pandemic restrictions, but still, huge crowds gathered along the lakefront to see and hear the action.

This is the entry to it. The way I go in I have to loop around to get to this path. It's a little further, but a lot safer
Fanad Head, County Donegal, Ireland.
Some of you might be wondering why I chose 'puzzling formations' for my title, well the truth is simply because of these magnificent rock formations formed as part of the landscape of Fanad Head.
They truly amaze me, the detail and textures of the rocks are unique and even though I know the formations of the rocks and landscape all boil down to geology, how water and time can effect our surroundings, I still find these formations very puzzling!
So I tried to capture them best I could to see if any of you shared my interest.
These planes were seen flying in precise formation over Lake Balboa, Van Nuys CA. I believe these are WWII planes - perhaps the North American AT-6 Texan. Not a plane expert - just tried looking up on the web. So, please correct. I would be interested to know the correct ID.
