Here's a typical view down one of the paths through the forest at Wave Farm.
The forest paths lead up a mild incline then follow along at roughly the same elevation before leading back down the hill. At the higher elevations, the trees are short pines of the sort visible in this picture. Further down the hill the trees are taller.
The leaf-strewn path caught my eye as it snaked off into autumn woodland. Long lenses are fantastic for woodland photography. My f/2.8 70-200mm zoom is a heavy beast of a lens but I would be very reluctant to part with it as its one of the sharpest lenses in my collection and it has served me well over more than a dozen years.

... или "русский след в экологически чистой среде обитания". ;)
Глубокие озера, Псковская область.
Светит солнышко, тропинка теряется в зеленомошнике, человеческих следов почти нет, лишь одинокая стеклотара аккуратненько пристроена под дерево...

A winding autumn path, carpeted in fallen leaves and canopied by glowing golden trees, evokes a profound sense of serene wonder and hidden beauty.

There's something amusing about the idea of the LOST actors - presumably accompanied by a fairly extensive number of crew, cameramen, director, etc - traipsing around in this jungle, pretending to be involved in such a dramatic mysterious drama...
Yes, I know that's what acting is all about, but even so, there's something to it, I don't know, about the clash between this playing pretend in a real, wide-open place, rather than on a set or a stage, or in a closed, reserved space. If you rent out a castle or a restaurant or whatever, it becomes your set, your stage. But to just take the jungle as it is, the real-life everyday wide-open spaces of Oahu, and pretend they're somewhere else, I dunno, somehow there's something different about that in my mind.

I felt like getting all the path branches in a single picture here. You can tell where the seams are, the middle segment's light is different. I'm still a novice when it comes to things like that.
