In an era of austerity and shrinking foreign aid budgets, it has become increasingly important for traditional donors such as the United States to leverage limited resources while implementing an effective foreign assistance agenda. In this context, aid effectiveness, transparency, and accountability remain central parts of the international development conversation through the "Busan Process" and discussions around the Millennium Development Goals. Join us for a conversation with Congressman Ted Poe, one of the key authors of the 2013 Foreign Aid Transparency and Accountability Act. A panel of experts will also discuss ways to strengthen aid effectiveness in the context of U.S. development policy.
