Various selects from a photo-shoot in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.

In this picture, I adjusted the aperature so as to create a shallow depth of field. This blurs the background, while leaving the tree trunk and its mossy bark in clear focus.

For this picture I adjusted the white balance on my camera because it was extremely sunny. The lighting was hard light as it was taken early afternoon and you can see her shadow. Post processing: in Lightroom, I increased the clarity and vibrance and increased the exposure just a little bit. I also added some vignetting to darken the edges a little bit. I think that the lighting, vibrance, and how she is dressed really helped to reveal character. Her facial expression made her seem somewhat serious and almost mysterious. Even though the picture was taken from farther away, her eyes are still in focus and she is maintaining eye contact with the camera. I chose to add this picture to my portfolio because I love how vibrant it is and it was a really fun picture to take.

I added something in front of the subject (LOVE) to add to the photo. It added some colour to the bland photo, and it also added some beauty.

Taken on a cloudy day, the natural lighting showed the fence under the bridge well. The well-exposed fencing was taken on top from the side, showing the depth of the field, with the forefront in focus.
