C/n 73 licence built 1937 in Sweden by AB Svenska Järnvägsverkstädernas Aeroplanavdelning. To Swedish Air Force as Sk 11A marked 553 / 5-20. In 1940 remarked 5-71, later same year 10-71. In 1953 registered SE-BYL. Performing at Swedish Air Force 90th Anniversary at Malmen outside Linköping, Sweden 28. August 2016
When I was planting all the tulips a few weeks ago, I made sure to save out four bulbs of each variety to force indoors this winter. Each variety was put in a separate bag and labeled so I know which is which. I also poked holes in the plastic bags to allow the bulbs to breathe a bit. Then all the bags went into a brown paper bag and they were laid to rest in the fridge for the next 2 months.

The Royal Air Force Bomber Command Memorial is a memorial, commemorating the aircrews of Royal Air Force Bomber Command who embarked on missions during the Second World War. The memorial was built to mark the sacrifice of 55,573 aircrew who flew with the Royal Air Force in World War II.
Liam O'Connor designed the memorial which is built of Portland stone and features a bronze sculpture of seven aircrew, designed by the sculptor Philip Jackson to look as though they have just returned from a bombing mission.
Queen Elizabeth II officially opened the memorial on 28 June 2012
This is a (not very) hidden character in Shining Force for the Genesis. He's a little squid like creature that hatches from an egg. He's very weak when you first get him, being a newborn squid thing and all, but he grows up to be a real killer if you devote some time and attention to him.

The "Cloud Gate" sculpture by Anish Kapoor is one of the most simple-yet-spectacular things I've seen. Here, the reflection of the cityscape in the impacably polished surface (aside from the streaks for water left by the storm that just passed through) looks like Chicago has a protective force field - or is inside a snow globe...
Lowry Air Force Base went into operation just before WWII got going and served as a training center until 1994 when the base was closed.
In one of the Nation's most successful transformations of a former military base, Lowry is now a nice neighborhood.
Many base buildings were saved and repurposed including two larger hangers. One has become part Shopping Mall, part U-store-it. The other hanger is home to Wings Over The Rockies.
This is one of the B-1 prototypes. The airframe on this bird was twisted in testing. That is part of how it ended up here.
The Museum rents the space for all sorts of events. I once mixed a national Gospel act in the space. My mixing console sat right next to the front landing gear, under the nose of the plane.
