United States Air Force - Sikorsky HH-60G Pave Hawk - USAF 05-27040 (c/n 70-?)
This helicopter was originally delivered to the United States Army as a Sikorsky UH-60L Black Hawk. It would eventually be withdrawn from service and placed into storage with the 309th Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Group (AMARG) (formerly known as the "Aerospace Maintenance and Regeneration Center" [AMARC]) at Davis–Monthan Air Force Base, outside of Tucson, Arizona, on December 3, 2012. In 2016 it was converted into an HH-60G Pave Hawk Combat Search And Rescue (CSAR) aircraft as part of the US Air Force's HH-60G Pave Hawk Operational Loss Replacement (OLR) program conducted in Huntsville, Alabama. This aircraft now flies with the 101st Rescue Squadron (101 RQS), based on Long Island at Francis S. Gabreski Air National Guard Base, located at Francis S. Gabreski Airport, just north of Westhampton Beach, New York.
Dubbed the Wayne State SWAT team, a group of FP&M staff that includes painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and custodians is tackling more than 300 minor yet vital repair and beautification jobs in addition to its daily assignments.

I thought it was clever, and certainly made sense!
Before that beck, Stock Ghyll, passes under Bridge House it tumbles down through a series of waterfalls to the centre of Ambleside.
Once there were 12 watermills driven by the power of Stock Ghyll and other local becks, producing bobbins, processed fabrics, paper and ground corn.
The mills are long closed, and most have now been demolished or converted for other use. You can just see one of these former mills on the extreme left of my previous photo.
This waterfall, Stock Ghyll Force, is an easy stroll from Ambleside. I don’t normally post videos but it’s difficult to portray the experience with a still image.
Wain Wath Force is a waterfall situated on the River Swale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, North Yorkshire, England. Despite its modest height it is popular with visitors, the Coast to Coast long distance footpath passes the falls on the north bank of the River Swale while the main motor road up Upper Swaledale passes on the south bank.

ZK307 came from 29 (R) Squadron to perform this years RAF Typhoon Display. They were so popular they walked away with the RIAT 'Best Solo Jet Display' 2013. 29 (R) Squadron operate the Typhoon and are based at RAF Coningsby.
The Typhoon is capable of performing the full spectrum of air operations, from air defence to ground attack. In 2011 it took part in Operation Ellamy to enforce the no-fly zone over Libya, while in 2012, they helped provide security over London during the Olympic Games. As an interceptor in the air defence role, it provides protection to UK airspace 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year and, four years ago, Typhoon replaced the Tornado F3 in the Falkland Islands, primarily providing an air defence capability.

One of two major waterfalls on Force Gill on the Eastern Slopes of Whernside. Force Gill has many smaller waterfalls between its two larger ones.
I would bet that this one is seldom visited and I wonder just how many of the walkers ascending Whernside (it is only 200 or so yards off the path but cannot be seen from the path) actually know it is there.

This was at the end of my road. I live close to the airport. Air Force One comes to town to practice take off and landing.
I made this cake for a send off for an airman getting ready to start basic training. It's a light white cake with vanilla buttercream. All decorations are fondant.
