Some silliness to observe the solemn day of April 1.

A half-empty store window in Northport, MI, on a snowy winter's day. The sun came out for a very brief time.

"Walk Quietly"

The best place to go to escape the foolishness of people...nature. Go for a walk, a hike, or just explore the peace and serenity of creation. Leave the ridiculous smart phone behind, keep quiet, and just take it in. Look without speaking, and wonder without rationalizing.

The undeniable beauty of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion at night.

I never realized how much fun night shots were around the Haunted Mansion. I love the completely different styles of both buildings on each coast. I was inspired to catch this shot from this masterpiece by jdhilger.

1 Corinthians 1:18-24

18 The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God.

19 As the Scriptures say,

"I will destroy the wisdom of the wise and discard the understanding of the intelligent."

20 So where does this leave the philosophers, the scholars, and the world's brilliant debaters? God has made the wisdom of this world foolish.

21 Since God in His wisdom saw to it that the world would never know Him through human wisdom, He has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

22 It is foolish to the Jews, who ask for signs from heaven. And it is foolish to the Gentiles, who seek human wisdom.

23 So when we preach that Christ was crucified, the Jews are offended and the Gentiles say it's all nonsense.

24 But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Happy April Fools' Day!!

Frome, for April Foolishness, day 22

cynara cardunculus

The Globe Artichoke.

A few buds were left on this member of the thistle family so they might bloom. They are very pretty and attract many pollinators to the garden.
