This part was cut since I all ready had a lot of Opening Shots with her in the Ruins.
An original Still Life Oil Painting in an Impressionist style of water bottles and glasses on canvass . I had thought I had already posted this still life painting but the painting I had in mind was similar but not the same. I recalled sometime back I had painted a short series of the subject matter. Probably with different apples as I usually ate an apple a day. The marigolds would be different for each painting as well. For many years they filled odd spots in the hallway. Inch worm inch worm climbing up the marigold you and your arithmetic will probably go far.
Last Thursday a gormless driver of a 20 tonne tarmac wagon reversed into our fence.
Not only did he reverse into our fence but he drove onto the stone flags at the front of our house. He dislodged a big flag which tilted it, so we can no longer go through our side gate. He cracked a smaller flag in half.
On Friday I got some new timbers from the woodyard and gave them two coats of paint (Cuprinol Ducksback). On Saturday morning I fixed the new timbers onto the fence.
When I built the fence in 2021 I built a concrete block retaining wall before I built the fence. No further damage was done to the fence or wall.
I need specialist lifting gear to sort the tilting stone flag out.
The company that owns the Tarmac wagon are going to pay for the damages, but I have to get prices.
The tarmac wagon was with others that were queued to do a job at the farm further up our lane.

We've had some wild weather here in England. This is our local park on Sunday during a somewhat short but fast walk with Zak (our dog). Reminded me of another song I learned from my mother so many years ago, and I haven't been able to get it out of my mind ever since Sunday !

It's foolish to try and control something you can not. Yet some try over and again, failing miserably along the way, the anger simmering until everything boils over into a big hot mess. Pretty this is not.

let me explain things a bit.
roughly 3 weeks ago richard's dad was hospitalized on our first week of classes, whatever time I didn't spend in classes was spent driving back and forth to the hospital, his dad is back home now and doing much better so everything's calmed down.
i'm in my senior year of college, and as some of you can imagine it's the most difficult year. I'm trying hard to shoot when I can so I still will keep my twin 365, although I can't promise it will end a year from its starting date!

from last summer - nicely captures the daze that represents my current state of being
i have been so foolish lately, and i suppose it must explain why today I awoke from a jarring nightmare and have since felt sick - or rather, ill at ease? (aside: this could also be the effect of fasting - which began four days ago - but more interesting to attribute it to cosmic causes, no?).
my body is now processing new idealistic hopes planted by my mind. this week has tested the bounds of my romanticism. how much am i willing to believe? how much of myself am i willing to put at risk? a lot, frankly. evidently, much, much more than i'd ever imagined. and for that reason i claim to be foolish (and, today, a bit sick!), but still i am unrelenting. for i am a happy fool!
