Yeah, I'm sittin' on this barstool, talkin' like a damn fool
Got the twelve o'clock news blues
And I've given up hope on the afternoon soaps
And a bottle of cold brew
Is it any wonder I'm not crazy?
Is it any wonder I'm sane at all?
Well, I'm so tired of losin', I got nothin' to do
With all day to do it
Well, I'd go out cruisin', but I've no place to go
And all night to get there
Is it any wonder I'm not a criminal?
Is it any wonder I'm not in jail?
Is it any wonder? I've got too much time on my hands
It's tickin' away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands
It's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands
And it's tickin' away, tickin' away from me
it's t-t-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands) now I don't know what to do
(Too much time on my hands)
Too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Too much time on my hands
Now I'm a jet fuel genius, I can solve the world's problems
Without even trying
I've got dozens of friends and the fun never ends
That is, as long as I'm buying
Is it any wonder I'm not the President?
Is it any wonder I'm null and void?
Is it any wonder? I've got too much time on my hands
It's tickin' away with my sanity
I've got too much time on my hands
It's hard to believe such a calamity
I've got too much time on my hands
And it's tickin' away, tickin' away from me
t-t-t-t-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands) and I don't know what to do with myself
(Too much time on my hands) mm
(Too much time on my hands) t-t-t-t-tickin' away
(Too much time on my hands) mm

This sneaky Green Heron (Butorides virescens) tried to blend with the desert riparian landscape. Can't fool me, found you!
We parked on the little bridge at the first entrance of the Glendale Recharge Ponds. Got out of the car, looked over to the riparian area and saw something move. There he was, standing tall and proud on top of the block wall... staring at us.
A friend titled this "Fools Glint" before he realised I knew it wouldn't be a proper glint.
This spot has always captivated me with the reflection it can cause from backlighting, and finally I had some sort of train I could give it a crack with.
GM27 and GM22 work 1MC1 to Milvale through Wornes Gate with the sun directly behind but not quite giving the right glint affect.

La superluna di febbraio si accinge a tramontare, immergendosi a tratti in veli di nebbia... che di momento in momento la nascondono quasi completamente.

the Fool is the first (and the last) card of the high arcana in tarot. He has bliss for he is a blanc sheet of paper. He therefore will dance off a cliff. Not by stupidity, but because he is totally unaware of the danger. While being like the fool is pure joy, just taking life as it comes, there comes a moment where we all need to discover our possibilities and goals.. to be continued with the magician.

The Mason City to Lakota and back local rolls down the Fairmont Sub 20 miles from Mason as they pass thru Joice. This job left Mason this morning and serves local ethanol plants and elevators on the way north to Bricelyn and out to Lakota on the Rake Sub. The job is heading back to Mason now with 25 cars out of the Valero Renewable Fuels plant, mainly 1170 tanks.
The wind chill was a balmy -17 degrees, dont let the sun fool you!
“What a desperate, pathetic fool I was. Time after time, my “friends” had shown me their true colors. Yet, I still wanted to believe they were sorry for causing me pain.
My most ungraceful explore to date. But despite all the things I've done (accidentally, mind you) to draw attention to our presence, I guess the old saying proved to be true. Fortune really does favor the fools.
Decided to head to Kimmeridge for a shoot
Weatherwise was abit hit n miss as there was a low bank of cloud , but not letting that put me off I got to work sussing out various compositions as the tide was started to rapidly swallow the ledges
I was kind of umming n arring weather or not to shoot the waterfall as I've never had a decent shot of it in all the times I've been to Kimmeridge but determined to get an image I took the chance once again and fired some frames off and oh boy I'm so glad I did 😍
Mardi Gras and Ash Wednesday were pretty austere at 30˚N 96˚W, when an ice storm covered all of Texas, knocked out power for millions, and broke countless pipes, including my neighbor’s. We spent 2 days without electricity, boiling water for coffee on the gas stove; heating the living room with a previously never-used gas fireplace; visiting more fortunate friends to recharge all our batteries. We're ok, many were not so lucky. Expecting that catastrophic systemic failure will be replaced by controlled rolling blackouts through the weekend. Too bad the Energy Reliability Council of Texas decided 20 years ago that making power generation robust against winter was optional for regulated companies that wanted to maximize profits. Renewable and fossil fuel plants failed at about the same rate, elected officials lied to defend donors at the usual rate, and we expect a transition from angry complaints to no reforms, also at the usual rate. Maybe this time it's different. Maybe.

Another shot from my recent storm drain/sewer overflow trip. Colours achieved by 3 LEDs strategically placed. The real star here is that amazing brickwork.
The light rail in my hometown of Newcastle. Our government replaced a perfectly good train track to butcher the Main Street and instal a team system.
I cross this track twice a day and I’ve never seen the golden glow quite like this before.
I particularly like the way the sunset lights up the tracks.
Mama, I found a man, who loves me and understands. Papa, he’s quite a man. He adores me, he’s my biggest fan, and don't get me wrong. I know, he’s not perfect in your eyes, but somehow he’s flawless in mine. And you may tell me to run now, but I can't do that. We're too far down the hole, he's got a hole on my soul. Mama, don't judge me now, I'm not trying to hurt you. I know, this won't make you proud. Papa, did I let you down? Are you ashamed, of how your little girl turned out? You'll see a monster, I see a smile. You say, it's danger, and I'm in denial, but somehow I feel so safe right now. So, I guess, I'm a fool. I'm a fool in love, but I'm willing to stay here and bask in the glory of his heart. I guess, I'm a fool in love, but I'm willing to look so stupid, till i've had enough.
Oooh, do we not sail on the ship of fools?
Oooh, why is life so precious and so cruel?

*happy bokeh wednesday*
And then one day,
One magic day he passed my way.
And while we spoke of many things,
Fools and kings,
This he said to me,
"The greatest thing you'll ever learn
Is just to love and be loved in return." ♩
