The great fog day still ;)
In the harbor, the boats were hardly visible.
I put the title as an excuse to play Robert Plant's song.
No need to ever carry separate bulky and heavy cameras and lenses again! Wear your lens & camera combo over your head and bingo, you’re set.
No need for new hardware ever! All camera/lens capabilities updated via wireless software updates. It all auto updates to/from the cloud. How safe is that?! What more could you want?
(The small print: Your bank account will be auto-debited forever too.)
April fools. 😬
Created for April Fools theme in Macro Monday HMM! :-)
NS SD40-2 3455 and SD60E 911 (First Responders) leads NS D36 as it rolls through the rampant countryside in Foosland, IL.
A friend titled this "Fools Glint" before he realised I knew it wouldn't be a proper glint.
This spot has always captivated me with the reflection it can cause from backlighting, and finally I had some sort of train I could give it a crack with.
GM27 and GM22 work 1MC1 to Milvale through Wornes Gate with the sun directly behind but not quite giving the right glint affect.

Dave asked me if I had any gold lippy, of course I do - but I can probably do better than that...

Sing along with the Roses...
I’m standing alone
I’m watching you all
I’m seeing you sinking
I’m standing alone
You’re weighing the gold
I’m watching you sinking
Fool’s gold
Lake Superior played the fooler on this trip of ours, with this view as an example of what we found for 6 days along its shores, May, 2021. It was quite a contrast with its Edmund Fitzgerald reputation. I liked how the morning sun made the Au Sable Dunes look here, situated along the eastern part of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Otherwise known as Pyrite.
"Compared to actual gold, Pyrite will flake, powder, or crumble when poked with a metal point, whereas gold will gouge or indent like soft lead. In addition, actual gold will leave a golden yellow streak when scraped on a piece of unglazed porcelain; Pyrite will leave a dark green to black streak."
Pyrite measures 3/4"; entire image= 1 1/4"

“What a desperate, pathetic fool I was. Time after time, my “friends” had shown me their true colors. Yet, I still wanted to believe they were sorry for causing me pain.
decided to go for a vignette. I will probably do more of them too. Very corny, I know, but somehow seems to fit the subject...
Decided to head to Kimmeridge for a shoot
Weatherwise was abit hit n miss as there was a low bank of cloud , but not letting that put me off I got to work sussing out various compositions as the tide was started to rapidly swallow the ledges
I was kind of umming n arring weather or not to shoot the waterfall as I've never had a decent shot of it in all the times I've been to Kimmeridge but determined to get an image I took the chance once again and fired some frames off and oh boy I'm so glad I did 😍
Another shot from my recent storm drain/sewer overflow trip. Colours achieved by 3 LEDs strategically placed. The real star here is that amazing brickwork.
Mama, I found a man, who loves me and understands. Papa, he’s quite a man. He adores me, he’s my biggest fan, and don't get me wrong. I know, he’s not perfect in your eyes, but somehow he’s flawless in mine. And you may tell me to run now, but I can't do that. We're too far down the hole, he's got a hole on my soul. Mama, don't judge me now, I'm not trying to hurt you. I know, this won't make you proud. Papa, did I let you down? Are you ashamed, of how your little girl turned out? You'll see a monster, I see a smile. You say, it's danger, and I'm in denial, but somehow I feel so safe right now. So, I guess, I'm a fool. I'm a fool in love, but I'm willing to stay here and bask in the glory of his heart. I guess, I'm a fool in love, but I'm willing to look so stupid, till i've had enough.
