Got playing around with a photo app and came up with this. It is from a photo of an A-10 that I took at this summer's Abbotsford International Airshow. Abbotsford, B.C.

People always ask "Who is the fool?" but they never ask "How is the fool?"

"The man who asks a question is a fool for a minute, the man who does not ask is a fool for life."
Confucius.
The Fool is one of the most dangerous archetypes. They are socially in tune, able to read the room and their audience. Masters of self deprecation, and also able to change the tone of any situation with their wit, they also have hidden ambitions and desires. Beneath the mask of the fool could be hidden anything from fatigue to utmost contempt. The Fool who wields the blade will surprise their victim the most.

I didn't get around to submitting anything to the photo5 but at least Max had some fun with the paper glasses.

Many people are fooled into thinking this furry little creature is a bee (in flight, it is even more bee-like as it produces a high-pitched buzz), and that it's long sharp proboscis makes it dangerous!
Social media sites often get many posts containing pictures of this insect, often captioned with ‘what is this?’ or ‘what type of bee is this?’, and the Natural History Museum is frequently asked to help people identify these little creatures that fool people so often! www.nhm.ac.uk/discover/news/2014/april/bee-flies-false-wi...
In fact this little creature is a Bee-fly (The Dark-edged Bee-fly - Bombylius major), a bee mimic fly whose proboscis is used for drinking nectar and it is completely harmless to humans!
However, it is parasitic on solitary mining bees and bumblebees, and lays its eggs in the nests of its hosts. It does this by hovering over nests or burrows and dropping or flicking their eggs into the nest. Before they deposit the eggs, they coat them in soil or dust. This adds weight to the eggs and may also be a form of camouflage. Once the larvae hatch, they crawl further into the nest/burrow and feed on mature bee larvae, eventually killing them. Another way in which this little creature is an April fool!
This wee fawn was hungry and evidently thought this young buck was his mother. Lesson learned as the buck soon chased him away. The fawn fortunately did find his mother soon after. Was amusing to watch.
Not a great shot as I wasn't ready for the fawn to do this.
However it is something unusual.
Something different for April Fool's Day.
Have a great weekend, hopefully without too many tricks.

"Beautiful little fools
That’s what us girls are destined for
Beautiful little fools
Born to be adored
Where is the feminine race?
Where are these so-called independent women?
Who pick up their flaws
And let the world in
Where are these girls?"

This couple decided it would be great fun to dance around in the fountains outside ‘The Library of Birmingham’. Although they weren’t actually posing for me one of them saw me with my camera and looked at me as the flash fired giving me eye contact. They probably ended up with wet feet…..!

Awa Odori, also known as ‘the dance of fools’, comes from Tokushima Prefecture on the island of Shikoku. “Awa” is the name of the feudal province which later became Tokushima and 'Odori' mean dance.
According to tradition, Awa Odori originated in the 16th century after drunken revellers took to dancing in the streets of Tokushima in celebration of the completion of Tokushima Castle.
While there is no firm evidence to support this, the exuberant, often frenzied nature of the dance is in keeping with the story’s theme of drunken revelry. Traditional lyrics to the music used for Awa Odori translate to “The dancers are fools and the watchers are fools; if both are fools, you may as well dance”.
Although its home is obviously Tokushima (its Awa Odori is one of the biggest street dance festivals in the world, attracting around 1.5m spectators annually), other major Awa Odori include those held in Koenji in Tokyo (which now almost rivals that in Tokushima for size) and in Minami-Koshigya in Saitama prefecture, photographed here.
Although much smaller than its cousins in Tokushima and Koenji, it still attracts around 800,000 spectators...
