This girl followed me up the road in her barefeet and begged me for a photo. Technically it's taboo to take a photo of a child in Guatemala (people have actually been mobbed for it), but she wanted it so bad I simply had to make it happen (even if it is out of focus)
I just want to thank everyone whose been following me and appreciating my work so far! Hopefully that number will continue to grew over time haha. I also would like to give a shout out to Cooper Reed for for giving me a shout out in the past which helped me greatly to gain more followers! If you aren't following him, you should do so now, i thoroughly enjoy his creations and mocs as I'm sure you guys will too. And don't worry ill soon be posting another creation of mine in the near future...maybe by tonight if possible.

Warrior Within Weapons
Nicola Devecsery, a follower of my Facebook page very kindly sent me a photograph from her family collection and I was keen to go and do something with it as soon as I could!
Nicola's grandparents opened The Musical Box music shop way back in 1947 and it has remained in the family to this day, and has been at the same location since 1951 I believe which I thnk is amazing. If I've got it right it is still run by Diane Cain, the original owners' daughter and her son Tony Quinn so now three generations of the family have looked after the shop.
I went along and took some photos outside the shop, and then went in to show Diane what I was doing. She is a really lovely lady and I could have happily stayed and chatted with her all day. She even went out the back and brought me some old photos of the shop and the street, and was even happy to recreate a photo of herself in the shop from 1965. When I went in, I hadn't put two and two together and realised that she was the tenage girl in the old photo that Nicola had kindly sent to me (along with her younger brother, Nicky's dad) and she happily stood in the entrance door on the same spot as she had done in, I think around 1956-58!
So for me it was an amazing opportunity and one I really appreciated the chance to do. Thank you Nicky!

The Georgian infantry troops are camped beside Pockerley Manor in Beamish Museum and, as was the custom at the time, were accompanied by their own women "camp followers" - seen here chatting amongst themselves as they prepare food for their menfolk.
