Folded Mountain lies west of the hamlet of Toad River. A stark example of the cataclysmic collisions that lifted the prehistoric seashore into the Rocky Mountains. Taken July 21, 2008.

Along the drive back from Kings Canyon, this rock outcrop served as a great example of how these mountains formed long ago under extreme pressure.

Techniques:Folded paper, made creases to shape "branches" and coloured it to highlight it's contours.
Difficulties That Arose:None
Fold over the book cloth until the edge lines up against your mark from the last step. Press and crease the fold. Repeat this to the other side of the book cloth.

Photo taken in Loughshinny Harbour, North County Dublin. The photo shows a distinctive fold pair in the interbedded limestone turbidites and black shales of Loughshinny. These chevron folds are thought to be the furthest north expression of the Variscan Orogeny, and are expressed spectacularly on the cliff faces. Photo by Sarah Grimes.
Here's a closeup of the A-1E's wing fold. Note the machine gun poking through along with the rockets on the hardpoints. The Skyraider could loiter over the battlefield and deliver lots of firepower.
