The heavy balusters and applied bosses on this table may indicate that it was produced en suite with a matching cupboard, since such bold decorative elements were more commonly found on that form. The polygonal frame has a two-part, hinged circular top that opens and rests on the pivot support, or gate. The present grain-painted surface is not original and may date to the eighteenth century.
Provenance
Descended in the Kinsman and Annabel families, Ipswich, Massachusetts; the Appleton family, Hamilton and Haverhill, Massachusetts; by descent, George B. Furness, Manchester, New Hampshire, then Douglaston, New York, by 1921-before 1926; Mrs. J. Insley Blair, Tuxedo Park, New York, by 1926-died 1951.

“Folded Page One” is an live audio visual stage performance co produced by SDNA (UK) and Ticonzero (Italy).
“Folded Page One” is the first chapter of a complex artistic research which aims to investigate the interaction of various live media and the integration of different artistic languages: audio visual, graphics, sculpture, fashion, physical performance and theatrical process.
The performance is divided into 8 parts (the maximum number of times paper can be folded), exploring the physical and metaphysical properties and potentials of paper
Paper is the starting point for all of the artists. The costume, designed by Cabinet of Curiosity using origami techniques, is made out of paper, all of the visuals are filmed events or animations derived from paper and Alessandro's music is composed using sounds of paper.
The performer, Nina Fog, plays a creature born from paper who constantly transforms herself, reinventing her corporeality.
“With Folded I am exploring the sensations of being written upon (by sound, image, costume, space); being invented and - at the same time - being erased. The constant cycle of living and dying makes me only a momentary creature in a fragment of time - I aim to be in the pure of state of existing from moment to moment”. Nina Fog

You have to have the gears aligned in higher range so that the rear chain guide clears the frame when you fold the back wheel under. Also have your left hand pedal at about 7 o'clock so it winds forward to about 12 o'clock, and the right hand pedal clears the front wheel when folded back. Comprende?!!?
Space Folding transforms live flight data into an immersive light installation through a series of custom built software applications using Distributed Display Protocol (DDP) to control individually addressable array of addressable LED light pixles.
The work encourages the audience to imaginatively engage in teleportation. There is a sense of going to a new place, and yet it is the same place. Space Folding achieves this by bringing the aesthetic of the United Arab Emirates and combining it with international air space data to visualise the interconnected nature of cultural dynamics.
Spacefolding by Zina Kaye and team was premiered internationally at Zayed University ISEA 2014 Dubai. spacefolding.hol.ly/
