Established in 1921, Capitol Reef National Park preserves the Waterpocket Fold, the impassible "reef" of the park's name. Here you can see just how impassible it is. The "Capitol" of its name comes from numerous rock formations that appeared to be shaped like the US Capitol, which for some reason I did not photograph.

While we waited for maintenance to fix the plumbing issues in our stateroom on the Royal Caribbean Majesty of the Seas, we headed up to the Schooner Bar for a drink. While we were there, a member of the activities staff invited us to join a ''Napkin Artistry'' workshop. The hood and yoke were crocheted in one flat piece like a triangle with the top cut off and the bottom corners joined together for the front of the neck, with the sleeves and body attached under. Then I folded the first crocheted row in half and whip-stitched it together to make the hood.
