The Younkers building was built in 1899 and burned on when a fire started March 28th, 2014. The building housed house a Younkers Department store until Saks closed the doors in August of 2005. In 2007 the remaining items from the department store are sold off. In 2013 renovation began to convert the iconic building into apartments. The original portion of the building is now being demolished piece by piece. A 3 man crew is using sledge hammers and jack hammers to take it down one level at a time. The west end sustained less damage and sounds like it is salvageable but when you think downtown Des Moines Younkers you think of the grand east building.

Esta paleta de cores não foi a escolhida, mas na minha opinião é a melhor, pois o roxo é a junção do azul com o vermelho, que simbolizam o balé e a capoeira, presentes na mostra.
O contraste também não foi este o escolhido, mas é o que eu indiquei, já que cria um ritmo de leitura onde o nome do evento se destaca, mesmo não sendo a primeira informação no sentido tradicional de leitura.

This strange looking stuff folds completely flat and can be used many times. Disassembled it all fits in an envelope like package. The knife fork and spoon are also a special travel set and go together on a ring.

March 16th, Linda K. Johnson performed a movement piece entitled Fold, and Fold and Fold, the work included performers Claire Barrera, Rebecca Harrison, Augden Hayes, Kelly Rauer, Linda and Maria Inocencio.
I held a series of three sessions at KPF NY demonstrating severals ways to transform a flat single sheet of paper into a complex form. I demonstrated folds that used both standard origami techniques (square paper, no cutting) and more modern approaches (laser-cut and -scored curves). The square forms date back to the Bauhaus movement and I was inspired by the work I did for Erik and Marty Demaine when choosing the shapes of the curved forms. Special thanks also to Alex Soijka who helped with the video.

Na manhã desta terça-feira, 31/5 (Dia Mundial sem Tabaco), alunos do ensino médio da rede pública promoveram atividades de conscientização sobre os prejuÃzos causados pelo cigarro no Centrinho-USP.
No ambulatório do Hospital, os jovens entregaram fôlderes elaborados por eles próprios e prestaram orientações sobre o tabagismo a pacientes e acompanhantes.
Os cinco estudantes, que integram o Programa de Pré-Iniciação CientÃfica da USP, também desenvolvem um levantamento sobre a prevalência do tabagismo em adolescentes de 13 a 18 anos acompanhados pelo Centrinho-USP.
