I gave this little folding knife to my wife about fifty years ago. A colleague at the school where I taught had one so I wrote to the manufacturers to get one. John Watts Ltd ceased trading in 1999.
Although the blade is less than two inches long, the nature of the fold means that can be locked open and so it's probably illegal to carry it in a public place.

A great way to recycle old books!
I saw this on an Arts show on TV.
Made from an old paperback, cover removed, each page folded lengthways towards spine, glued to backing board and framed!
Very easy to make and the result is really interesting! Can be folded lots of different ways for different effects. Picture books are good too.

Applying firm pressure and keeping the loose edges lined up, use the bone folder to crease the folded edge. Your fold will be better if you start pressing in the middle instead of at the top or bottom. I usually flip the signature over and run the bone folder along the crease on the other side, too.
Students learned about the design principle of visual rhythm, then designed their own patterns, which were applied to a sheet of paper. The paper was then folded and glued into this three-dimensional, geometric form.
The road cut exposes complexly folded and faulted, lower to middle Pliocene, gypsiferous, lacustrine rocks of the Anaverde Formation.
How many times can you fold a piece of paper? The answer is much less than you think. Physical limitations apply to everything and while it may appear that a process can go on forever, there is a limit to how small an object can become.
I managed to fold a square piece of paper 6 times but Britney Gallivan is famous for doing this 12 times and so confounding mathamaticians. She also produced an equation to show why it worked.

Well, It's finished. I had been wanting to refold this model for a long time, but it was only until this summer that I finally pulled through. This model is hard, no doubts about that. Even the scaleshaping requires a lot of patience and skill to do nicely, and the final shaping is the part that makes or breaks a Ryu Jin. Even though I haven't shaped it perfectly, I think I've done a decent job.
I decided not to go with the half-cp method, mainly because I always enjoy challenges (not to say this model isn't already challenging enough :P). Once the legs were collapsed, it wasn't too difficult to work with though. Speaking of the legs, they were definitely the biggest challenge for me to shape (after the head). There's still lots to work on, but I think I'm going to leave it like this.
And that's it! I don't think I'll be folding this model again for a while. Comments are always appreciated.
