A shallow layer of advective fog over Pacific Spirit Park at UBC coming from the Strait of Georgia to Point Grey (UBC).
Morning fog at Ravines Gardens state park. I had to bracket hdr because the plants in the foreground were too dark otherwise.
it has been a week of densely foggy mornings here.
which means warm and quiet with a side of vilely horrible traffic.
and if you're a fan of horror movies - creepy, goose bumpy eeriness.
because all good horror movie fanatics know that fog is where the
alien zombie serial-killing werevampires infected by a highly contagious
virus that was genetically mutated by a secret government agency and
intentionally let loose as part of an experiment emerge from just before
they eat you.

With the fog and low clouds blowing in from the ocean, I'm looking down the former Venoco Oil access road which divides the UCSB North Campus Open Space, left, from the UCSB West Campus, right. On the horizon to the right of the pedestrians ahead, Storke Tower can barely be seen on the main UCSB campus, more than a mile away. The airport control tower can be seen on the far left horizon.
