7DWF Wednesdays Theme: Macro or Close-up.
This fluffed-up Woodpigeon was trying to keep warm perched between two branches, I don't blame it either!!!!
It was "Brass-monkeys" really chilly.

Fluffed up or impressive cleavage, other images of this same bird show a fairly round bird. The morning was a little cool and flying birds just do not get that fat.
Fluffs, dust and scratches on glass plate I use to create my MacroMondays macros make me always some headache. But for todays theme the fluffs monster transforms to an elegant dancing queen.

All our snow has more or less gone now, replaced by wet & mud :( Evie misses it and so do I, so much cleaner! Fluff and snow go well together I think & I love this capture of her, all fur & big brown eyes.

A young woodchuck cuts across the trail after coming out of the pond for a swim. l have seen lots of these lately. This one is lucky enough to live at the nature preserve, where nobody is going to consider him a pest.

a good morning today , finally getting to grips with the new camera , so a cute duckling a a couple of great tit shots to start tonight
Usually I see these Reddish Egrets back lit. At first this one was back lit too, but then he flew away.
It took me about 20 minutes to to reach him in his new fishing grounds. Luckily for me, the light was good there.

I find that the cheapest rice is the best. I have tried all sorts of fancy smancy rice and the Piggly Wiggly brand is the best. You must follow the directions on the bag and you will have perfect rice. I used some left over rib fat grease and added it to the water when I boiled this rice. You can use chicken broth, tomato sauce or any sort of broth to cook the rice
