'Watch out for those bushes!' Barbie warns Fluff as she gleefully skates off through my backyard. This Summer sand TNT beauty (with perfect colouring all over and her original hair bow!) was my latest find, along with that divine little 'Sunflower' shift dress from 1967, with its earrings. Fluff is wearing another of my latest finds; - 'Hopscotchins' from 1969... Just LOVE that little striped belt and cute pocketed shorts with that zippy belt... it goes great with Fluff's skateboard that she is never away from!
It was like taking pictures of little kids...they would get settled for a minute and then in a blink of an eye were on the move again. But just so darn cute!
These guys were a fun custom order. I have WAY too much fun when the bitty guys are around. ;)

This took some doing... I saw the dandelions in my rather wild garden and thought I need to do some more close up work. I cleared the breakfast bar and set up a tabletop studio. Plucking a 'clock' I opened the jaws of a tough clamp and set the stalk so it would stand alone on the table. It was as I went about my snaps I realised just how quickly these things wilt... after only three shots I noticed it was bending out of frame and focus! the poor thing is dying and there's no way to resuscitate it- Shot a few rapid frames before I gave it a decent burial... well, that is I gave it to Oscar, Rabbits LOVE dandelions!!!
Strobist: Two YN560s and an SB700, two to the front, either side and close mounted on their 'feet' all set to 1/32pwr while the SB700 was hand-held and very close. All triggered with RF603s and fired with a yn126 remote.

Male Scott's Oriole shaking out feathers! This guy looks young maybe second year, he still has some yellow on his head which should be entirely black as an adult.
I don't really know what these are, some sorta fluffy thing that keeps blowing all over the garden, they're not dandelions.
Edit: Asked my mam,finally; they're the seeds from a clemetis.Problem solved :)
Couldn't go to Convention (Dying to go as I've never been and had quite a few dear friends go this year! :( ) So I had to console myself of course with some online shopping! Never thought I would collect the 'kiddies' but I just got a sausage curl Skipper from 1969 and her 1971 friend 'Living Fluff'. I was thrilled at their condition! - Their hair only needed some new rubber bands (the original ones had disintegrated but were still there) and some new ribbon bows in their hair... otherwise it was virtually untouched. Skipper came with no markings whatsoever anywhere on her body which was odd, but her peachy complexion is perfect. Both came with their OSS's but I thought they needed a change- Fluff is wearing 'Rik Rak Rah' from 1970 which looks so great with her skateboard that she originally was sold with, while Skipper is wearing 'Fancy Pants' also from that year, which was a gift from a collector friend Vintage Betty. 'C'mon Fluff... let's go exploring!' Skipper said to Fluff in a 1971 issue of 'Barbie Talk' magazine, so they are doing just that in my backyard.

This particular individual showed really dramatic reddish neck pattern, seen here all "fluffed up". These elegant birds were definitely a highlight as we don't see them often up north. Seen in Malheur NWR.

There was no water nearby, so I doubt this black vulture had taken a bath. It must feel good to fluff up the feathers and let some air in!
Limkin fluffing in Corkscrew Swamp.
They produce a unique clicking sound which makes it fairly to locate them even though they are not that common.
