#MobileArtistry is creative edits, beautiful images, unique perspectives, stellar shots, and happy accidents. IE, stuff you won't find on the pop page.

Through this ongoing project we hope to expose people to art and artists they may not normally get to see, learn about one another's process, and encourage each other to push the limits of creativity.

Tonight's submission is from Shannon, aka @lady_sleeman, let's hear about her process.

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third, by experience, which is the bitterest. - Confucius

I honestly didnt know where to start with this edit, I just knew that for it to be worthy of @mobileartistry i had to edit something that kicked butt. So I scoured my library looking for the perfect one and came to this picture and thought, this is it. So I began my journey with this man and helped his story and his life unfold... Process:

1. Opened original shot in snapseed and lowered the brightness, ambiance and contrast via tune image, than used the new retrolux option to add the vintage look. Finally added a bit of grunge and saved the photo.

2. Opened edited picture with Flowpaper and added the flow behind the man to represent the memories and footsteps he's taken along this journey of life (I tried to be philosophical hehe) than saved

3. Opened the original unedited image with picfx, added the distinct option under classics and the pfx 5 and pfx 15 under PFX film than saved

4. Last but not least opened the edited Flowpaper image and the edited picfx shot with blender and layered them to add the final effect

Hope that wasn't too complicating and hope you all enjoyed his journey as much as I did!!

Adobe Photoshop and Flowpaper

My latest iPad painting addiction is the flowpaper app.

Drawing in Flowpaper, manipulated with Decim8. Cropped in Camera+ for mirroring and tweaked for color. Created mirror with collage feature of Photogene2. Decim8ed one of the "ghosts" from my previous appsperiments accidentally and liked the result. Inverted it in PhotoSplash and blended with exclusion to the first result. Applied a few more color and contrast tweaks in Snapseed and tiltshifted.
