Hello Everyone!
Perhaps I am a simpleton, but it never ceases to amaze me that small birds can perch on little flowers! This was taken during fall migration and the Nashville Warbler was so intent on finding bugs that it paid no attention to me as I clicked away. A few passersby stopped to ask what I was seeing. It was heartwarming to see their delight as they stood by me and watched the action. This was one of those memorable days that we all hope to have now and again.

Experimenting with some different overlays and textures on a blossom shot from last week. It was a dull day when I took this shot and I felt the original image was lacking the warmth and cheeriness that blossom and spring tend to bring. I've used Distressed FX on my iPad to apply a 'Flowerchild' overlay, plus a 'Sentiment' texture. Final tonal/contrast tweaks made on my PC software. :-)
I think I wrote down what this costume was but after the time that has passed I can’t find the notes. Best I can tell, the person is dressed as a 4 horned, stuffed animal carrying flower child/space alien/vampire? Yep, weird doesn’t seem to cover it but the costume is unusual, unique and creative ,even if it was off theme and out of place at the 2017 Renaissance Festival in Todd Mission Texas. But who knows, space aliens could have visited medieval times. I have never seen a costume like it before or since at any type of gathering.
There are sure signs of spring if you really look for them:
1. When some bunnies, who have been staying home all day in winter, can be found in parks and meadows;
2. When they can't resist the beauty of flowers and start wearing flower crowns instead of their fluffy bunny ears;
3. And when they (and this time you too) feel the need to take off the jackets under the warm spring sun.
When all these three requirements are met, it's said spring has really come. Officially approved by Hime the bunny. ♥ ♫ ♪
