This was taken from the side of Terras Bridge, about a mile north of Looe. The East Looe and West Looe rivers both have their sources in the hilly countryside around Liskeard in south-east Cornwall. They flow through heavily wooded valleys eventually joining together just to the north of Looe. They then become the Looe River which after a short distance joins the sea. The rivers are quite shallow and at low tide virtually empty out, leaving large mudbanks behind.

These days I can rely on the camera vibration reduction and shoot 1/4 or 1/3 seconds exposure handheld.
Third Burroughs Peak along with the long tall range with the same name was formed by an ancient lava flow pinned between two glaciers. They must have been massive, and if you blow this up and check the link in comments to a tight shot, you'll see what an excellent sculptor Mum Nature is.

Die Schachblume -manchmal auch Schachbrettblume genannt, blüht auf ungedüngeten nicht vor Anfang Juni gemähten, nassen oder überschwemmten Wiesen. Sie ist selten und gefährdet, da es kaum noch geeignete Standorte für sie gibt.
The Schachblume -sometimes also called checkerboard flower blossoms on ungedüngeten not before early June mown, wet or flooded meadows. It is rare and at risk because there are hardly any suitable sites for them.
