Nothing is softer or more flexible than water, yet nothing
can resist it.
- Lao Tzu
This ICM image was taken at the base of a small waterfall framed with these sandy colored rocks. There were a few splashes of the water as it tumbled over the rocks. I love the soft mood of this image.

Neither heavenly nor earthly, neither mortal nor immortal
have we created thee, so that thou mighest be free according
to thy own will and honour, to be thy own creator and builder.
To thee alone we gave growth and development depending on thy own free will.
Thou bearest in thee the germs of a universal life.

Another image from Gatineau Park north of Ottawa near the Carbide Willson Ruins. This one of the small rocky falls that lead from the old dam to the ruins. This was a more complex composition to find at the scene; in the end using the flow of the water to guide the viewer through the different elements found within the frame.
Thanks for viewing!!
Water flows, like time, unstoppable. She's carrying many stone vessels. They move slowly, millennias, before they reach their destination as much smaller pebbles. They won't even notice how many trees will grow and die around watching their race to eternity. And then I come with camera thinking: "What a lovely brook...click..."
I went for one of my favourite walks through a forest near our place a couple of days ago, that has a small creek running through the entire area. I decided to try to get some macro shots of the creek, so I squatted down on a small rock in the middle of the water, tilted my LCD screen and held my camera about 1" from the water and shot. This little "waterfall" is only about 4" high. I didn't fall in and the only thing that got wet was my camera strap.

One of my attempts at the "Macro Mondays" theme "Low Key".
This is a metallic wire (around 0.3 mm in diameter) on a coil. So this image shows a detail of less than 10 mm (less than 1/2 inch).
Shot with a Noritsu "45 mm F 4" (enlarging) lens on a Canon EOS R5.
The river waters drop and vanish here as they pass into a natural bridge being cut through the rock.
