I had to go to the dentist today.... how I LOATHE going to the dentist.... but check me out; I had my three old fillings drilled out and replaced, but with NO shots or drugs, whoo-hoo!

I used bakers twine. I love bakers twine, a lot. My stitching seems to have regressed as I haven't been stitching at all and I wasn't a proficient stitcher to begin with. I just need a little (a great deal) more practice. :)
Also, sorry for the stains on the fabric. I set it down outside to take pics and didn't notice the little bit of dirty water.
my neighbor found this great collection of floss colors at a garage sale and gave it to me, isn't she the best?

Pink Candy Floss immediately evokes the idea of a Fair and is a popular stall at the Columba College Fair. Using it as a material for a character in the Fair poster was a must.

I think the lady who owns the place is getting a little more comfortable with me. She asked me what I was making with all the reds, oranges and yellows I bought today.
Her: "Are you making an Autumn sampler?"
Me: "Yes. Yes I am."
Because it's too hard to explain. And I need the floss.
This was taken in 1952 and is the oldest know photo of me, and yes I still have the 'golly', even though it is not PC to say so these days.

Detail of the hand quilting. I used a variegated embroidery thread in the colors purple-pink, red-orange, yellow-orange.
This was my entry in the Best Dressed comp at the National Blythe Meet 2011. I got 2nd place and won a gorgeous outfit by Maria, that you can see Harlow wearing in the next photos....
I loved making this outfit and the display!
