The Silk Floss Tree is native to the tropical and subtropical forests of South America. The fruit pods contain fibrous, fluffy matter similar to cotton or silk, which is used in making packaging, canoes, paper, and ropes.

This was taken with Nikon N2020 on ektachrome. Multiple flashes (4, one from each side) long exposure. My ex wife did counted cross-stitch.

unfortunately punched at spine, putting a hole in the cheek in one of those faces inflicted on Mount Rushmore in the interior diorama but at least not proceeding through both covers...

209/365: Not sure if this is good for the Sassy Underpants group. Just one pair that I never used... Look a bit like dental floss.
Note: Bow is crooked.. Focus is unheard of.. The thing is .. holding a D300 with one hand is too overwhelming to care about everything important.
Years ago, my mom gave me her leftover floss. Some of it was loose and some she had wound on matchbook covers.

This was a photo taken during a time in which I was not able to object to what I was wearing. Later, when I became the "chubby kid," I thought, how ironic that I had to pad this suit in order to look fluffy.

I used bakers twine. I love bakers twine, a lot. My stitching seems to have regressed as I haven't been stitching at all and I wasn't a proficient stitcher to begin with. I just need a little (a great deal) more practice. :)
Also, sorry for the stains on the fabric. I set it down outside to take pics and didn't notice the little bit of dirty water.
