A fishing float on one of the sand dunes on Guise Bay, near the lightstation in Cape Scott.
(I did a trip to Cape Scott in April, and the weather was warm and sunny. I didn't even need the tent at night, the weather was great).

Fishing is important on the north side of the island, so fishing floats are offered up to the fishing gods of wind water and talcum powder.
These floats of different colors are there to remind the gods of different things: yellow is opaka paka, blue is yellow fin tuna and so on...
