I've not figured out when in the production sequence the Vulcanite was used on the prisms. I've only seen two of them that were covered this way. The other one was smashed and rusty. Didn't help that one much.
Nellis is one of the hardest, most frustrating places I've ever shot at. The light is very tricky, and the runway is far away.
But, one of the most beloved departures at Nellis is the "Flex West" departure.

Showing off the "packability" of the Ford Flex - it worked for a family of five with room to spare! This video was originally shared on blip.tv by davidleeking with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 3.0 license.
Back on the bus I removed the smaller flex plate and after a battle its spacer too. I had concerns that the parts were different as the bolts on the old engine were much smaller. Measurements were taken using Vernier calipers and both items are identical and turns out the current engine had larger bolt heads only. I will need to triple check that wider bolt heads will clear on the torque converter.
If you look closely you will spot the bolt far left is not in contact with the fly wheel!… Three bolts were FT, the rest were not tight and all 6 bolts seem to have been dipped in a bucket of thread lock before fitting making them very difficult to extract.
