Europe’s largest beach-launched fishing fleet is to be seen at Hastings in East Sussex. The boats are designed to be launched from the beach by bulldozers and recovered by a winch and cable system developed over many decades.

Passing the Royal Navy Dockyard we got a glimpse of HMS Queen Elizabeth, the largest and most powerful vessel ever constructed for the Royal Navy. In January HMS Queen Elizabeth assumed the role of Fleet Flagship of the Royal Navy.
In front of it is the American destroyer USS The Sullivans a guided missile destroyer launched in 1995. Note the American flag. Perhaps they are staking a claim. [Sorry my American friends, just couldn’t resist :) ]
Same fleet, different angle. All the ships are roughly 1:900 scale with as many key features crammed in as possible, they're not accurate but you do get the idea of what they are based on, which was the idea anyway.

Mustin is on patrol with the Ronald Reagan Carrier Strike Group in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility in support of security and stability in the Indo- Asia-Pacific region. After 25 years at its present location, Aldershot Bus Station will close for good at the end of this week. To mark this occasion, the opportunity was taken today (03/05/2023) to recreate a scene that would have occurred around 10 years ago. When Stagecoach took over Fleet Buzz in 2011 they kept the identity for 3 years and repainted a number of their own buses into the distinctive yellow and black livery. One such bus was AE51VFV, now lovingly restored by James Bell. It is seen here in the bus station as it would have been seen on the Route 72 to Reading. Some town shots conclude this afternoon jolly.

Stagecoach Fleet Buzz 42058 (RL51 ZLO), a Mercedes-Benz Vario/ Plaxton Beaver 2, seen at Farnborough station on route 73.
Annoyingly, after this, I went into the station and while walking up the stairs of the footbridge, Solo 47737 (YJ57 YDA) went round on the 82, which I think it quite rare. It had manual blinds too!

if you're fond of sand dunes & salty air...well, you may not find the sand dunes here at Flamborough's North landing but you'll definately find salty air..& slippy rocks but besides the slippy rocks this place is really worth a visit if you're in the area, enjoy :)

USS Bowfin (SS/AGSS-287), a United States Navy Balao-class fleet attack submarine, was laid down by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard at Kittery, Maine on July 23, 1942; launched one year after the attack on Pearl Harbor, on December 7, 1942 by Mrs. Jane Gawne, wife of Captain James Orville Gawne; and commissioned on May 1, 1943, Commander Joseph H. Willingham in command. Nicknamed the Pearl Harbor Avenger, the 311-foot, 8-inch long Bowfin and her 80-man crew are credited with sinking 16 Japanese vessels (and many more uncredited) with a total tonnage of 67,882 tons during the course of her nine patrols over two years of World War II duty. At the war's end, Bowfin left Pearl Harbor for active duty with the Atlantic Fleet. She later served as a reserve training boat in Seattle, Washington, until her decommissioning at Pearl Harbor in 1971.
The USS Bowfin Submarine Museum and Park opened in 1981 next to the USS Arizona Memorial Visitor Center in Pearl Harbor. The centerpiece of the museum is the World War II submarine USS Bowfin (SS-287), which is open for public tours. Adjacent to the Bowfin is a 10,000 square foot museum which exhibits an impressive collection of submarine-related artifacts such as submarine weapon systems, photographs, paintings, battleflags, original recruiting posters, and detailed submarine models, all illustrating the history of the U.S. Submarine Service. Numerous submarine-related artifacts litter the grounds around the park, which also features the Waterfront Memorial, a public memorial honoring the 52 American submarines and the more than 3,500 submariners lost during World War II.

Obsolete Fleet of South London bought 7 BMMO D9 double deckers from Midland Red, which were converted to open top for use on an early version of what became the Round London Sightseeing Tour. These included 5016, 3016 HA which became OM5 with Obsolete Fleet and which later passed into preservation and now resides at The Transport Museum at Wythall where this photo was taken.
At this point there are only 3 buses and 2 of them are bus 7557. The 7557 on the left is an older version that did not have inner support braces on the bottom segment so the 3D wheels toe inward (look closely you’ll see what I mean). Also the 116 Morningside destination sign was a test and not correctly sized.
