concerned that my other photo of my prize fish didnt make it look particularly impressive after drinking most of the contents of the above bottle (and several of it's relatives) I decided that I needed to give it some scale.
Flathead Lake is the largest natural freshwater lake in the western part of the coterminous United States, surpassing Nevada/California's Lake Tahoe by .5 miles in surface area, 5 miles in length, and about 3.5 miles in width. This lake is one of the cleanest in the world for its size and type. Located in the northwest corner of the state, 7 miles south of Kalispell, it is approximately 30 miles long and 16 miles wide, covering 191.5 square miles.
Flathead Valley is now now being overrun with housing developments. This little place, out on Farm-to-Market Road, will probably be the site for pastel housing in the next year or two. So goes "progress".
This is the largest body of freshwater west of the MIssissippi River in the United States! It is even larger than Lake Tahoe.

update Dec 2007 - sadly the collection has been sold off, and Te Puke Vintage Auto Barn no longer exists. Wonder where this Ford is now?
