I had no guidelines to go on to determine whether a flatbed without the cab qualifies as a truck for Happy Truck Thursday. I had to pull out my HTT Rule Book. Those of you who have the rules handy go to page 153. It says in paragraph (b)2 that, “If the flatbed looks as if it can be moved when a cab is attached, it is appropriate for Truck Thursday.” However, paragraph (e)4 states that if a quorum of the members disagrees and one half of them complains to the Acting Officer in charge, the Photo may have to be removed.
I think this qualifies for HTT. If you have complaints according to the rules stated above, please contact the management!

Happy Truck Thursday! Found this farm with two old Fords sitting in front of the barn just a few miles from me.
These truck series were based on the 1939 Dodge T-Series truck models.
They were related to the smaller 1946-1947 Half-Ton Pick-up trucks and panel delivery vans.
War time trucks can be distinguished from post-war models because of less chrome trims.
In Summer 1947 these models were replaced by the complete restyled B-1 Series trucks.
These trucks look very similar to the other GM 1941-1947 Chevrolet AK series trucks.
The position of the headlamps is not original. They must be placed much higher, almost on top of the front wings.

Albion announced the series of low chassis weight / high payload models cab-over type 127 and the bonneted type 126 in September 1935, with payloads from 3.5 to 4.5 tons. Just inside the 50cwt threshold these lorries were permitted to operate at 30mph. Powered by EN211 or EN212 engines producing 65hp by mid 1936 the model had been uprated to 5 and then 5.5 tons, still achieving an unladen weight below 50 cwt.

Leaving the red for orange, we have a Rock Island truck at Bureau Jct. The Chevy C-60 looks pretty much like a straight flatbed stake truck, but equipped with an added crane for loading stuff. I'm guessing it is in either MofW or Stores Dept. service.
