Quite impressed with the lens performance here, at about 2/3 of its max. range. According to TPE and Google Earth this was taken from over 11 km (7miles) away. It took a few shots as the wind was catching the lens. Sigma 150-500.
it's not morgan stanley, but it is a building in the world financial center downtown. this is another entry in the drivin' & shootin' category taken on west street from the car. it has an odd, 2D look to it and I was surprised by all the color that came out of it.
this is wfc-2 and some tenants include oppenheimer funds, state street corp and the law firm Thacher, Proffitt & Wood (along with Dewey, Cheatham & Howe...doh). this borders the wintergarden with wfc-3, american express and wfc-4, merrill lynch

The taller trees in the center of this shot are located on Flat Island in the Rhode River. The island is owned by the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center which is located along the river.
There are several islands in the river. Flat Island is rapidly disappearing due to over use by people and their dogs trampling the vegetation and causing erosion. One, High Island has already disappeared and become a shoal that is hazardous to boaters. The River Keeper has asked the public to avoid using the island in hopes it can be saved.

There are many islands in the Chesapeake Bay that have also disappeared due to human activity. I hope this one can be saved.
