ROD No 24 on the flat crossing of the NSWGR lines bringing empty wagons either from the coal staithes on the Hunter River whence '60 Miler' ships ' took the coal the 60 miles to Sydney or else the wagons have been repaired in the Commonwealth Engineering workshops. There was a rail connection onto the NSWGR lines and presumably this was relied on when this crossing was removed in 1973, no more than 3 years after this picture was taken.
Sammy and Tommy did go noodling flat head catfish in the creek in Kingfisher Okla, 28lb,22lb,15lb, 11lb.

When I got my first flat tire, I happened to pull over beside this funky house that a friend of my dad's designed.
July.11 - been seeing these all over on our trip from Britain to here - I don't think I've ever seen these at home! (Sweeter and more firm than the round peaches at home!)
I set off from home this morning and heard a "pop pop," sound as I drove along. When I got out the rear tyre was flat :(
So I changed the wheel - cheeringly I was twice asked by chaps walking by if I needed any help :)
However, I was OK and just drove home having missed the morning service at St Mary's church.
