Well - what a disappointment this was. Firstly we were shocked to find out that you were NOT allowed to take alcohol into the festival like we have done in previous years. They were even searching camping chair bags to check for contraband. They did not even ask to see the tickets/wristbands. People were drinking their wine/beer they had brought to last them through the day and evening one swig after another rather than leave it behind. The reason they gave for not allowing alcohol was people behave badly - but then they provided booze tents.. so that argument doesn't hold any weight. 70% of the toilets were out of order and the rest were out of toilet roll. Staff walking around in ordinary clothes to spot people who had managed to sneak booze past them... and then bring the heavies in to remove them from the event. No big screens this year - food - well it was too expensive and too mediocre. Next year... we will be doing something else as they are keeping their 'new' rules... save your £40 a ticket and do something else.

I found a sweet batch of old family photos in an upstairs closet earlier this week, which included this amusing photo of myself enjoying some chocolate on Easter morning, circa April 1976. (I know this only because the date was stamped by the photo processor on the back of the print.) Jennie says that our daughter bares a strong resemblence to the young lad in this photo. What do ya think?

I enetered in a contest on www.ataricommunity.com (which is Atari.com) and won the very first Atari Flashback 2! I never win stuff, so you can imagine not only how excited I was winning it... but the fact that it's from Atari!?
Awesome!

Julian at 6 months and 13 days, the same age as Sarah 3 days ago. When people ask what it's like to have a baby, I say it's like carrying a 20lb bag of rice. All day long.
I have been draging my family up to the Tennessee River every chance I get on the great bald eagle chase. I had never seen one in the wild and when I found out we had them in Alabama, I became a man on a mission. It was beginning to look like mission impossible, this has been going on for almost two years.
This past weekend I finally caught up with the Great Bald Eagle. The weather was not very favorable, and I was pushing my equipment and my abilities to the limit to get this shot. He was over a hundred yards away and I couldn't find a shot that was unobstructed. This bird was very close to it's nest and I didn't want to make it nervous about it's location. This was the best sitting shot I got. :-)
Thanks baby, for putting up with me on the Great Bald Eagle Chase.
March 2008. Taking a break from eating the dinner my friend Cris made us to pose for the self timer.
Julian at 5 months and 9 days. A bit younger than Sarah, but, quite a bit larger. She was, though, more capable. He did, however, make up for it with enthusiasm.
