Another overlooked photo from the archives. I made this photo back in January when I spotted this old Beetle in Roanoke, VA.
Just turned on Pandora while finishing up oven cleaning and had to share the joy.
Some of you will remember...

Flashback to when I used to race dirt bikes at the track located at the fairgrounds. The sign was in the shadows so I decided an Hdr would probably fix the exposure difference which it did. I lowered the highlights so the mountain and sky looked better, but brought up the shadows so the sign was properly exposed. I increased vibrance also. These were global edits. Locally, I increased the clarity and saturation of the sign. I messed with the reds in the HSL sliders since the red trim of the sign was kind of faded and purple-sh looking but I liked how it looked when it was a little more of a red color.
Flashback Friday
I'm guessing it's 1988, and I'm 20 years old, at home in Alaska during summer break. This is the clothing store where I worked.
Exclamation points time - shoulder pads! Hairspray! Swatch! Tanning bed tan! Disinterested expression!
It's only fair that I post this photo after showing my mom's hairstyle from her early 20s on Veteran's Day.
A lot's been going on academically and socially for me, especially socially.
And I've been getting overwhelmed a lot. I just made this to look back on some memories.
I think I'll make one for Flickr every month.
Wearing Stars and Bars retro paint job, A United A320 is on final at O'Hare on Saturday morning. The 737 with the Continental paint job was also in town from the previous day but I missed its departure on Saturday. Just for grins, I looked up this plane and found it too was coming to O'Hare.
Scene from a flashback, a time and a place where you remember the definitive characteristics of a Pier on a cold early morning.
Maggie and Monty hit it off from the first minute they met. Monty would chase her everywhere. Hard to believe that Monty was that energetic when you look at him now. They were always so much fun to watch.
Flashback Comics is a local store here in Woodbridge where Fish is working part time for experience. It's a cool shop that's separated into two, one for comics and the other for games. They got a great collection of memorabilia as well.
Mientras fotografiaba este kiosko unas niñas se pasearon por delante... en mejor momento!

love the flashback tee pattern. so, so versatile.
i angled the side seams to make a swing shape, added a button placket (1.5 inches on either side) and drafted a peter pan collar.
the fabric is a soft, heavy weight knit.

Flashback Friday
Watching the National Dog Show last night made me want to pull out this memory. It was 1998, Ike was about 8 months old, and a fancy show dog.
I never intended to have a show dog, but part of the agreement with the breeder was that I would show him for at least one summer. I did, and it turned out that neither of us enjoyed it. I had Ike neutered and out of the ring at the first opportunity. The good news is that all of the training really helped us bond.
Please notice that, unlike many of the professional handlers I saw on tv last night, I was NOT wearing ridiculous sneakers and sweat socks with my suit. I found some comfortable, low heels that would allow me to run in the ring.
