" Dreams as if you live forever.

LIVE as if you die today."....!!!!! --James Dean

We are on an eastbaound on UP's Milwaukee sub. Most CP trains operate between CP control point A20 and Bryn Mahr on the UP. We are meeting a UP local shoving back to do some work. 2006-07

FF takes us back to October of 2011. One hump unit is on the hump itself and another is grabbing a cut from the A yard in Bensenville, IL.

I am waiting for the Crew Transport driver to give us a ride to our road power which is at the old roundhouse. After getting our power, kicking 6 bad orders out of out train and doubling up, we won't depart until 2300 on this day. Back then you got the hot shot 183 at 1715 or the dreaded 287 at 1730. We drew the short straw today. Same pay, 5 hours difference in when you got back home.

Portland, Oregon.

Step back into 2010!

I still remember taking these photos! This was taken when the 10th anniversary Bratz just dropped on store shelves and my initial hype over them was so fresh! I quickly restyled and snapped some pics! I think these were the first photos I took of them, idk why I once deleted these but they had to make a comeback!

When I was young the steam era was in it's final years. My grandparents lived across from the tracks, when a train went by I'd run to the door to watch it go by. I love old steam engines, they bring back many old memories of me looking out the front door, the ground trembling as they thundered by. This photo is my favorite that I took of #844 in Ogden. ....LOOKS BEST ENLARGED ON BLACK (push L)

Just another view of the Harbour Bridge area I stumbled across in my archives...

His name was "Raymond Crock"... Some called him "The Crocodile". His family practically owned the school... He was so rich. But, he commonly abused his power. Almost killing kids, and just throwing money at them so he wouldn't get arrested. So, we went after him. So all this sh#t could stop happening... But... something terrible happened.

A little fun combining two images to tell a story.

2014 Flashback

Here is a look back at the year's creations! I'm actually a little surprised that I managed to build more than one per month, but I do not want to commit myself to reach a certain number. Rather fewer models in high quality than the opposite. Thanks to everyone who participated and commented. Happy New Year!

A couple enjoying a canoe ride the year before Covid. Since then, any water activity at the lake is prohibited.

Wishing you all a HAPPY, HEALTHY, PEACEFUL and a BLESSED New Month!

Sorry but still slow in posting comments.

Thank you so much for stopping by and for the kind comments and favs. They are very much appreciated!

Happy Saturday Everyone!

I happened upon several Dahlia pics this morning while commenting in groups and, not surprisingly, this gave me the urge to post one of my own Dahlia images from August :o). Enjoy!!

August 2009.

out of the past: 1970's

This Flashback takes us to a day in August in the mid 1990s . We see Apache Police Officer Alan Pop assisting Apache Memorial Hospital EMS on medical call . Today the hospital is now called Regional Medical Center and Officer Pop is now Deputy Chief

A pair of SOO, ex-MILW MP15s switch out at Nahant Yard in Davernport. IA, where I'm sure they spent time in both their SOO and MILW days! Never thought I'd see a MP15 running on CP again.

Flashback to this day last year and having a too-brief lunch with the one and only @jrtski

Takes us to LaCrosse, WI August of 2008.

Because of old MILW road miles based contractual obligations, the road switch jobs out of LaCrosse paired St. Paul conductors with Portage engineers. Since one job went east to serve customers all the way to Tomah (about 40 miles), Portage conductors could 'recapture' the miles. With only having three years of seniority, I could hold this day job with weekends off. Occasionally my brakeman was a 40 year veteran.

Most days we would take cars over the Mississippi river to La Crescent, MN to interchange with the ICE railroad. Road switchers had little priority over road trains and today is no exception. Here we are waiting for train 891 to pass and we will follow him west.

Three MRL units were assigned to the 890/891 train set for about a month.

The shot was taken shortly after a rain shower. Looks like the weed sprayer needs to come through the yard.

Juniata Terminal's PRR painted E units head back home after visiting Chicago for National Train Day, Taken in Ogden Dunes, IN.

This is another flashback to warm weather, with a new treatment in post.

to when jackson couldn't even crawl, to when i was an oly user (gasp!) and to when i had no clue what life had in store for us.

anyway, it's pouring rain so this is snagged from the archives, one of my most favorite of jackson only made better because he was wearing mama's favorite color. ;)

Created in Frax. Thanks for comments and fave adds. Always appreciated.

If only I had that figure now!
