2014 Flashback

Here is a look back at the year's creations! I'm actually a little surprised that I managed to build more than one per month, but I do not want to commit myself to reach a certain number. Rather fewer models in high quality than the opposite. Thanks to everyone who participated and commented. Happy New Year!

Leica Summicron 35mm f/2 IV "King of Bokeh"

Kodak Portra 160

A little fun combining two images to tell a story.

Step back into 2010!

I still remember taking these photos! This was taken when the 10th anniversary Bratz just dropped on store shelves and my initial hype over them was so fresh! I quickly restyled and snapped some pics! I think these were the first photos I took of them, idk why I once deleted these but they had to make a comeback!

This is another flashback to warm weather, with a new treatment in post.

Leaving Carvel Lane,Cowes on May 19th 1987 was a Southern Vectis VRT in the colours of its Southampton subsidary Solent Blue Line. SBL operations started on Monday May 25th.

An old photo from a night out in December 2016 x x

A pair of SOO, ex-MILW MP15s switch out at Nahant Yard in Davernport. IA, where I'm sure they spent time in both their SOO and MILW days! Never thought I'd see a MP15 running on CP again.

This Flashback takes us to June1968, where we see Sparta Police Dept (SPD) Officer Harry Ricardo taking an accident report on 3rd St between Gold and Silver Aves.

Officer Harry Ricardo served with the Department from January 1964 to December 1968. He was an Air Force veteran of both WW2 and the Korean War. After resigning from SPD, he went to work for the Phillipsburg Police Department (In neighboring Clay County). After the death of his brother in 1975, he moved back to Sparta to take over management of the family orchard in the central part of Hazzard Range County, where Sparta is the county seat.

Following another failed marriage and an arson fire at the orchard buildings in 1983, he sold the land and left the state. He passed away in 1999.

Sparta had a Police Dept from 1950 to Dec 31, 1972

Not quite in my birthday suit but waiting for my presents. From August 2012

In 1966 Here Come the Brides by Bernard Glemser was published. A pleasant beach read about the bridal department of a department store it had one memorable passage. When one of the brides kept insisting that her dress should be cut lower in the front the exasperated salesperson exclaimed: “Why don’t you just carry them down the aisle on a silver platter”

I read the book when it came out and that is the only thing I remember but every time I see this sort of cantilevered décolletage it pops into my mind.

NY Times photo.

The start of our first big storm back in December. I took a lot of shots that day. I'm sure from time to time I will break some of these out...

Created in Frax. Thanks for comments and fave adds. Always appreciated.

..Do not use my work without my explicit permission or you'll recieve a swift kick to the head!!!!

A lot of my work is based in childhood memories, the loneliness that I constantly had to deal with for I didn't really have a single friend until I was almost done with high school. Part of the came from being a Navy brat for 10ish years of my life I guess.

I remember when we would go on field trips in my art class and we would take the bus to the art institute or something along those lines. Everyone would be sitting with their friends as I sat alone, much like I still am most of the time.

This MUST be viewed in lightbox because the scale is not represented well in normal view.

My dad, Uncle O.B., Aunt Ruth and myself with their 1951 Packard in 1961.

If only I had that figure now!

O no. I washed my dress in hot water. March 2012
