Today I am officially a published author!
It is not his 75th Anniversary being celebrated. It is the original Flash, Jay Garrick who has been around for 75 years..

I got a great new flash accessory--the Demb Flip-It (see below). It's a reflective white card that redirects the light. Both of these photos had my SB-800 at 1/10th power, aimed at the ceiling. What a difference!
The ceiling bounce is much more natural, but it's less shadowed, darker and warmer (because the ceiling is a warm color). The Flip-it shot is much whiter, because of the reflective card. It's much brighter, because the light is more directed, though it's diffused a bit, there are still clear shadows. Of course, if I weren't so close to that wall, you wouldn't see those shadows at all. And there are fewer shadows on my body/face as well.

Camera is a Nikon D300 with 18-50mm lens.

Back in August I took a trip down to Charley's Garden, Seaton Sluice to grab a few shots at sunset. The sunset didn't amount to much but there were a few stray clouds with flashes of pink. I posted a similar shot to this a while ago but thought I'd go for movement this time instead.
