Canon 5D Mark II, 24-105mm f/4.0L, flash
Met a couple of guys today for the first time with the intent of doing some proof of concept stuff at a pretty cool location. We came up with some interesting stuff but this was my personal favourite.
Strobist: 430EX, gelled with full CTO in an umbrella on camera right. Lighting the other side of the subject was a bare 580EX II (no gel). The highlight on the wall was from a handheld SB-800 (optically triggered). I can't quite remember the power on the flashes as we were adjusting on the fly. Canon flashes triggered with Cactus V4, post in Aperture 3.1.

Strobist: Flash on camera in photo (Fujifilm X-T3) triggered using Godox Trigger on Fujifil X-Pro3. Addition Godox Ad200 Flash Camera right.
Soooooooooooooooo....
Because of reasons, Trickster will be the main villain of my Flash story. So he will kinda fill the role of Professor Zoom.
I know some of you might not be happy about this, but don't worry Zoom will still be a recurring and important villain in my series.
Reasons you may ask?
Well the main one would be, I like jokes and writing sarcastic characters. (Main reason I don't try to write a Batman story. :P )
I mean I can write a serious character, and have and will continue to write serious characters. But because of my personality I find it more natural to write funny characters. :P
Reason number two, I just don't really like the whole idea of Zoom. I know he is a really important character in Flash's back-story and overall story, but he is kinda weird to me.
Hope you guys understand where I am coming from. :P
Plz dont hirt mi!
Comic-Con International: San Diego 2010
San Diego Comic-Con International, also known as Comic-Con International: San Diego, and commonly known as Comic-Con or the San Diego Comic-Con, was founded as the Golden State Comic Book Convention and later the San Diego Comic Book Convention in 1970 by Shel Dorf and a group of San Diegans.
It is traditionally a four-day event (Thursday through Sunday — though a four-hour preview night on Wednesday is open to professionals, exhibitors, and some guests pre-registered for all four days) held during the summer in San Diego, California, United States, at the San Diego Convention Center. Comic-Con is both the name of the annual event and the common name of the organization.

Carnival is very popular in Germany. During the pandemic all the parades are cancelled again this year. The kids had one day in school yesterday to wear their costumes and Tim decided to be Darth Vaider. Unfortunately, it wasn’t allowed to take his lightsaber with him, weapons are not allowed in school ;-)
Strobe info: KeyLight – 90cm ParabolicSoftbox with Godox AD1200Pro at 1/32 power high above and pointing down. Filllight – 120cm StripLight with Godox TT600 at 1/8 power, very low pointing up to lighten the shadows below chin. Reflector and Honeycomb with Godox TT600 at 1/4 as rim light.

First attempts at an off camera flash portrait. Steep learning curve for this type of photography- one i am struggling with, i already see where i have gone wrong on this shot but it would be good to have feedback from fresh eyes so i can improve further.
Thanks.
Update 29.3.2010 To avoid confusion this is a portrait of my girlfriend Nia, not a self portrait :)
thanks for all the advice should have taken my relfector along to soften the shadows, guess i am just going for that off flash look, i did try and power down the flash but it must have reset once it went into a sleep mode, better luck next time.
Oii meninas, tudo bom?
- 1 camada Base da Ludurana;
- 2 camadas Apaixona da Ludurana;
-2 camadas Flash da Ludurana;
- Pra qe passar top coat se vai sair tudo mesmo? Haha!

Alex Raymond, the creator of Flash Gordon, is one of my favorite classic cartoonists, second only to Will Eisner, and perhaps third to Al Capp.
This is a photo taken for an article I wrote for istockphoto.com.
It was about proper use of the flash... or "decent exposure" .. because there is a fine art to flashing.
It has been years since these grade crossing flashing lights were activated by an approaching train. They still guard a crossing on the former Erie Lackawanna mainline at Freedom Station on the north side of the Ravenna Arsenal in Ohio. The tracks are still in place, but no longer used.Their future is at best uncertain and probably likely to be turned into a hike and bike trail some day.
Usei:

- 01 camada da Acquabase, da Jessica
- 02 camadas do cinza chumbo masther holográfico Flash Back, da Layla

Eu AMEI mtooooooo!!!!
The Glocal Project is a massive contributive artwork. Two months before the launch of the project, we already have upwards of 8,000 submissions from more than 2,000 participants around the world.
One of the most challenging questions has been: how can we make sense of such a large collection of images?
These 'phylogenies' imagine how an anthropologist might attempt to build relationships between images in the Glocal Pool.
Through image analysis technology, each image in the pool is assigned a 'signature', which can be though of as the image's genome - the colours, composition, symmetry, etc. that define the image.
In these phylogenetic trees, pairs of images are 'bred' to produce offspring which could conceivably have been born from these parent images.
The result is a 'family tree' of images which attempts to invent a history inside of the large project pool.

Did a speed and flash position test this morning- just to show how easy these are, took the 14 shots that make up these pics in eight minutes including a flash dismantle/reposition. The first 4 shots are with the flash in the position I started with last year which ends up low and to the left- the idea was to minimise the flash reflection on the drops- think it succeeded. Last two shots are with the flash in my normal "macro" position- they are different -same drop but I moved the flower a bit behind them :)
